Well obviously I know about the physics of material I’m an artist first.
If my t-shirt was as thick as theirs I could hardly move lol!… It’s more of a texture thing for me, and of course playability… Like the resolute Destro for instance he looks cool but you can’t sit him down or anything for That matter. Real clothes allows these things to look superior and play just the same. When you glue fabric instead of sew it there can be ripping, breaking, or cracking… And the figures I’ve made that have simulated “rubber suits” like batman’s can’t move worth a crap Cause I used either clear finish or paint on the fabric. Your customs look pretty good. I like the blue ninja better than the other one minus the plastic socks J But considering the work it takes to cut the whole body down and glue it piece by piece there’s not enough of a difference to go through all that.. I have used the cut down method to thin out the figure in clothes…it looks good and I don’t glue. MU figures are rather skinny though so clothes look better on them than old Joes. I haven’t used any 25th figures yet so I’m not sure how different they are. Joes to me look kind of un-sculpted as far as anatomy goes. I think all their sculpted pants would look bad and un convincing under cloth. But the sword wrapping you use is a little too large thread or floss would look better or the really thin vinyl That’s like inside of a purse for the leather wrapping. thanx for all the input. |

Man, that looks so much cooler than I ever thought it would. Looking at your pics I'm thinking this could be the wave of the future. Still not crazy about real hair though, that's just a bit creepy.

creepy huh...lol...
I think once you saw it you might change your mind... cause like the clothes it opens new doors...like a baroness figure can have that bangs over one eye look but your not stuck with it that way it can change from pic to pic. it's pretty neat. |
