#76 SENTINEL (STRIKE OPS Version - based on ARAH '93 "Bulletproof")

Sentinel Version 2! I always considered doing the 2nd version of Bulletproof over the version 1, but my brothers and I only had the version 1 as kids. When the Strike Ops body came back back in stock, I was again inspired to recreate that look for the character. I have had this one done since before my absolutely amazing trip to Tokyo, but wanted to reveal him when I had other "New Recruits" ready!

SENTINEL was brought on by DUTCH as the head of security for the checkpoint that has been created to barricade the mutants from escaping the infected zone! SENTINEL brought in some of his best men (like EARTHQUAKE) and is going to make sure the spore virus and carriers stay contained!

#77 HARBINGER (based on Funskool Halibna Exclusive '04 "Psyche-Out")

The final member of SQUAD 87Z! Using a very obscure version of Psyche-Out from Funskool! ...and there is more Funskool to come ;-) I had the OG Psyche-Out as a kid and remember the blue version from the DIC animated series. I did not purchase any of the Club's versions and like some of my other members of SQUAD 87Z, I wanted to do an obscure version of the 1987 character that did not have a modern interpretation! I love how "bootleggy" looking the original figure was, and that the MTF catalog once again can deliver a great recreation!

HARBINGER was brought into SQUAD 87Z to evaluate the state of mind of the victims of the spore mutation virus. He has also brought an array of sound devices to see if he can use a "sound attack" to steer the mutated humans away from civilization rather than by using conventional military force. Unfortunately him and OUTBREAK and the other members of the SQUAD have conflicting view points as to how the mutants should be handled, and HARBINGER is thinking of taking the situation into his own hands by possibly betraying the SQUAD with his own scientific ambitions!

#78 COLD SNAP (based on ARAH '93 "Frostbite")

This version of Frostbite has been in the works since I first started recreating MTF figures but felt now the catalog offered all of the parts I needed! Frostbite was always a favorite of mine growing up, & this version of Frostbite came with that awesome mask and blade, almost making him like the famous 80's horror icon Jason! I have to say my updated MTF interpretation of him almost makes for a better villain!

COLD SNAP is a guy that only gets brought in by the MTF for the most dangerous cold weather missions. He was contacted by VANGUARD against DUTCH'S reservations about him being a bit of a loose cannon. COLD SNAP'S mission is to fly solo, and locate the enemy camp of DEATH BARON in the upper snow-capped regions of the Himalayan mountains. Rumors have swirled about him being excessively violent with the enemy and taking lives that are unnecessary as well as the dead being found having a brutal demise, where if shot to death it still looks as though they had been mutilated by a melee weaponry. He also wears a former Gunrunners "DESTROYER" helmet that has been modified white with a toothy mouth graffiti on it. In Germany, China, & Japan he has been nicknamed the "Final Angel" as if he is on your trail, than your time has come to an end.

#79 HOTLINE (COMBAT COMMUNICATIONS Version - tribute to ARAH '86 "Dial Tone")

Version 2 of my female Dial-Tone! Inspired by a similar build I saw online that I just had to recreate!

HOTLINE was brought on by DUTCH to be the head field communications officer for the checkpoint facility blocking the mutated humans from crossing into uninfected civilized areas in the Himalayan region. One of her M.I.A. brother's last missions was the original B.E.T. operation within the region. Dressed in similar fatigues as a tribute to her brother, HOTLINE is hoping to discover some clues on this new mission about her brother's possible whereabouts.

#80 SAPPER (FLIGHT OPS Version - based on ARAH '92 "Firefly")

Season: 5 (PREVIEW!)

ANOTHER VERSION 2! It's funny that I did a version 2 of my #7, 8, and 9 characters within this "New Recruits" post! This version 2 came about when one of my brothers asked why I did not try to recreate the green/gray version of Firefly! When I finally did, I added the katana (like the comics always had this Firefly with a sword) and my other brother commented on it being a nice touch as he always had that version of Firefly using a sword as a kid (which he stole from another character lol) to imitate the comics! This is my first entry into the 5th season of my MTF saga! (Wait where is the 4th? lol ) As it is mostly based on the characters that had toys in Rise Of Cobra (Movie-verse), and not specifically the versions of them that were in ROC (or RET) films, plus some Expanded Universe characters. As to whether you liked the movie or not, IMHO that toy line was amazing, and one of the peaks of creativity for modern Joe, and yet here we are... 11 years later!

SAPPER has been training behind the scenes for years to broaden his skill set within the criminal underworld. On a extremely high permanent payroll, & now serving in the 4th incarnation of the GUNRUNNERS! He is not just a saboteur, but also a pilot, driver, a trained martial artist, and a bodyguard for the GUNRUNNERS most elite! A jack-of-all-trades, watch out for this deadly enemy!

Thanks! It probably won’t be for a while since I was waiting to order the parts when the preorder stuff comes in (I’m also working on 90s Duke) and those just got delayed :’-(

I have 6 or so figures planned from that preorder - so I will be buying their additional parts to make them complete in the meantime till they come in, as well as working on some of my other planned homages to showcase soon (like the Oktober Guard aka W.A.S.P. in "My MTF Universe!")
