I'm sure I'm not the only one, but I am very fearful of painting my custom figs (I have one or 2 coming up at MUST be painted...oh goodie).
At this point, my goal is to get original figures together without splashing touch-up paint or anything on them and have them look cool. I did my first one with Doolittle, but his attack dogs are requiring paint to be more fierce, so this one here is the only one I have in my collection that is a "put-together then done" job. I can't find any other 25th accessories that would fit it. I am expecting very little responses to this fig, but looking forward to other ideas from others down the line. Cool. Good to see something that can look awesome without intense paint work.
I did one a while back. It turned out okay. http://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-jo...c-kitbash.html

Man, I wish I knew how to do it...low-light would be kick @$$ with tunnel rat's sniper rifle.
I also have updated Shockblast, like in the comic that came with him...he's carrying nitro dude's tnt bag. I also gave him 2 mp5's from the para-viper troopers, as the color matches perfectly. I also added a dog to him...not sure who the dog initially came with, but fits well here C-4 is a new one, so to speak. A ton of others have done it here (Destro's chest piece color matches perfectly with Shockblast's dark blue color) and it works, so be it. Destro's neck covering fills in the gap there. Snow Serpent Officer's SMG's come in handy as well. Last edited by M. Aster Karver; 06-27-2009 at 06:19 PM.. |
