Never mind the amazing VAMP, the detail work on Clutch's head is unbelievable.

Heymilt strikes again: V.A.M.P. Mark II!
Take a gander at the details: Ya gotta love that sticker. It's only befitting a vehicle from Le Belle Province! When he shipped the green V.A.M.P. to me a few months ago, heymilt included a can of real maple syrup (and dude it was good), and so I joked that the Marauders crate that appears in the green V.A.M.P. is full of syrup; what I'm trying to decide now is this: did some Joe slap that sticker onto the V.A.M.P. to mess with Clutch... or did Clutch's first Adventure Team mission take place in Canada? If he killed a dinosaur in Canada, might could be he'd stick around the place and develop a love of the locale... or at least of a sports team. Whatever the case, Scarlett certainly slapped something on the back of the green V.A.M.P.: Clutch is gonna be pissed... unless he bought a Monster High doll as a speculative investment; if you visit heymilt's V.A.M.P. threads, linked in the first post of this thread, you'll see that one of the accessories he created for his Clutch is a carded Star Wars figure. I believe it's in Superhero City now, and if you haven't checked that out, you're missing out on heymilt's magnum opus: http://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-jo...ittle-man.html Meanwhile, Scarlett is going to show us just one of the dozens of accessories heymilt transformed with his badass painting: Keep an eye out on my Flickr and my other threads here at the Tank; you might not have noticed in the portrait I shared near the top of this post, but Clutch has been transformed, too, with lots of grimy detail. I'll be sharing all sorts of photos of him and Tunnel Rat and Badlands and all the other figures heymilt so massively improved. Heymilt, bro, thank you! You are the weathering king! And it's not just weathering; little details like the air freshener are just ridiculously brilliant. I love my V.A.M.P.s! And now you should all study your retail V.A.M.P.s, or Justin Bell's reviews if you don't own a V.A.M.P., 'cause one thing I've noticed about heymilt's customs (and it's especially true of my repainted Nickelodeon Ninja Turtles) is that they look so natural that, for all the transformative result, it's sometimes difficult to take in how substantially different they have become. Put simply, after a heymilt makeover a toy looks the way it should have looked from the start, and it's easy to take that for granted. If I were made of money I'd buy another set of Turtles and at least one V.A.M.P. to leave as-is, 'cause man, looking at the before and after is a revelation. Thanks for looking, folks, and thanks again, heymilt! Last edited by Monte Williams; 07-17-2014 at 10:53 AM.. |

As noted on Flickr and Facebook, the V.A.M.P. can tow the Acid Rain Stronghold!
