I wanted to try to reimagine the figure in a sci fi or futuristic matter. Taking the basic specialty of the Night Viper, and reimaginging him as more high tech.
A futuristic Night Viper would have some of Cobra's best technology available. He's outfitted with a stealth enhanced, flexible suit that offers strong protection against smallarms fire. However, it's key property would be reducing/minimizing heat signatures, and being able to partially bend light to create a psuedo cloaking device. His backpack provides both the power to the suit, as well as housing an over-the-shoulder Omniscient Intelligence Relay (OIR) system. This optical camera captures a near 270 view which funnels battlefield information back to a team of dedicated Tele-Vipers who co-ordinate squads of Night Vipers. With several Night Vipers hooked up, scanning the battlefield, they are able to operate with the utmost efficiency and precision. All the information is then relayed back to the state-of-the-art helmet that is a staple of Night Viper operations. Allowing standard optical options such as infrared and night vision, the soldiers also get a real time update of objectives, battlefield conditions, and more. Finally, their internally supressed sub-machine guns are also equipped with optics that link to the helmet and OIR system. Allowing the Night Viper to have his visor down, but still be able to accurately aim and scope their gun from their hips. The optics on the gun also record data about conditions, but can internally compensate for things such as wind, bullet drop, and distance. With the ability to be networked into seeing an entire battlefield combined with extensive training makes the Night Vipers Cobra's deadliest of troops. A minimally detectable, all-seeing Ghost on the battlefield. Enjoy! If I have interest, I'd sell 'em or post'em on Ebay perhaps. Take care! |
