but does it have a pointy middle, with the 4 dents around the sides? to me that is the defining look of a drill sargeant's cover. |

I think Wild Bill's hat is more of a floppy Civil War-era hat and Slaughter's is the Smokey the Bear, 4 points-in-the-middle drill sergeant type hat.
Edit: Found out that the type of hat that Slaughter wears is a "campaign hat". Wild Bill wears a Stetson hat, or also known as a "Cavalry Hat". Last edited by DarthBrett; 01-02-2008 at 06:57 PM.. |

Just hit up any hobby shop, they'll have enamels and Acrylics. Testors Model Masters Acryl paints are great
As for Sarge, my parents always called him a "Bullet Head" in reference to his hat |

GI Eddie, you need to start mass producing that Sarge for us Maggots! It looks amazing both in and out of the package.

(the cheapest I can find them) and I still don't have hats!...if Alyosha had the kits that's another $15 plus shipping! so lets add this up for those bad at math 3(figs) x $6 = $18 $18 + $18 to $20(kits plus shipping) = $38 $38 + my effort = ? ? + $5 (shipping) = at the very, very least, what $50 a fig?! and like I said, this is assuming I had the "parts"... believe me, I would love to do it, it's fun for me, but the logistics aren't there (right now at least) also, this doesn't even take into account a card if you wanted it, from gunslinger... the Sarge, BY FAR, was my most expensive figure, but he was worth it, as, more than likely, Hasbro will not be making him... |

Sgt. Slaughter looks awesome! Great job. Funny thing is I might consider paying $50-$60 for one of those since I have Wild Bill's hat anyway.
