Snake as he would appear in the original Metal Gear Game i didnt keep the original design like the box art cause they ripped off Terminator but i kept some subtle touches from that design
I tried to "Gear" him up with equipment and weapons he did have in the game theres quite a few i left out cause the man cant carry all of them lol I also gave it an alternate head with the Gas Mask feature Flashlight Gasmask Mines Transmitter/reciever Plastic Explosives Ingram Mac II Rocket Launcher (more modern take) Infared Goggles Pistol (the Baretta didnt fit the holster so its one that fits snug) Silencer Parts: Head MU Captain Steve Rogers with bits of fodder for com-link Body/upper arms : POC SE ver 3 Lower Arms: POC Duke with Launcher Harness: Renegades SE Pouch 25th Beachead Backpack 25th Wraith Bits from other stuff like FF Landmine ROC CC Communicator 25th FF Explosives Relocated Knife from POC SE harness to leg Ingram MAC II from POC SE

I always thought that box art looked like Hicks or Reese way back when, it's what got me into the game. Long story short I've been a big fan of Metal Gear for a long time. Your work is great and I love it but the face bugs me and I know it's because Michael Biehn is stuck in my head. Other than my own problems I absolutely love it.

This is beyond sick!! Superb! Love the Metal Gear as well. I'm not familiar with MGS toys, is that a custom or a repaint (the huge robot I mean)?

Those are both very cool customs. Great attention to detail. Good parts choice. Everything looks so clean. I wish they produced these in a set, 'cause I would buy them.

Once I was old enough to know the difference and read about the changes, I always thought it was hilarious that the American version of Metal Gear had the Metal Gear in the title and on the front of the box but at no point in the game did you ever see or fight the actual device.
Between that, a hilarious translation, and the fact that this was one of those games that you either HAD to have a guide or call the "Nintendo Hotline" if you wanted to know how to beat the game (specifically knowing that A: You had to call one particular character from one particular room in order to get the rocket launcher you needed to beat the game...and oh, if that character's brother died in an earlier battle, she wasn't going to give it to you....game over!), it's a minor miracle that it ended up the classic that it did. Basically, the localization team botched the original Metal Gear badly...but the game was so ambitious and did so much that other games at the time hadn't done that it ended up catching on anyway. Still, I wouldn't at all mind seeing an "upgraded/updated" version of the original Metal Gear someday. And yeah, totally Michael Biehn on the front of that box, and nice custom! The box art is actually a repaint of a photo of Reese from the first terminator.
