I posted Freefall and Clutch last night. Here are a few more Joes I banged out over the last month or so.
First post is Scarlett, second will be Hit & Run, third post is Falcon. EDIT 10/27/11 - SCARLETT IS NO FOR SALE - PLEASE MAKE OFFER! Last edited by UMAN; 09-07-2014 at 10:43 AM.. |

This guy was such a visually cool Joe back when the vintage figure came out, then the AOCI version completely blew. I couldn't let it stand!

The Falcon we got in the comic pack plain sucked. His faced made it looked like he just shit himself on the bus ride to work, and he was all other sorts of stupid and bad looking. Even the Night Force version we saw looked lame. Here's what could have been.

Okay, Scarlett looks great. Maybe a bit too toned down in colours for my personal tastes, but your paint apps are sharp.
Falcon looks great too, i always like figures with little paint and that everyone has a chance to make. But that HnR looks FUCKING awesome. I'm sorry if that sounds rude, but man, that's so cool. The mix of parts it's really smart, and most important, which such a mix of lines (25th, RoC and PoC) it still looks proportioned. Hats off, sir of complicated name.

Thank you. I'm going to go back and take pics of HnR with his gear off. I may redo the apps on the face too, but I was very happy with how he came together. He looks pretty cool with his gear unloaded, so maybe I'll get that pic together tomorrow morning. Come back and check for it.
Btw, if you happen to have a RoC arctic SE, or a PoC Rock Viper, you'll get the backpack with climbing effect. You can peel off the main bag, leaving aside the huge harness. It's kind of tricky, but nothing difficult with a bit of patience and hot air/water. After that simply glue a peg on the bag, and that's all. ;)

The bag is easy to open too. If you feel brave, you can try to hollow a more fitting backpack and place the insides of the bag (it's just a kind of wheel) DAMN THAT HnR LOOKS COOL!

Could we have a parts list please? Falcon was another that was a very cool looking original release figure let down by poor camo design and bad parts choice. I'm certainly fond of this pre-painted PIT Trooper figure, but still think the camo could be improved to make it more reminiscent of Vietnam (come on Hasbro, give us some figures in normal old-school Jungle and temperate camo to make paint-free customs from!), nevertheless good job, especially without needing to apply any paint! |
