the person judging the contest picks who they want and that's that am i wrong? sometimes its popularity contests some times its fair some times its not but when it comes down to it its whoever they pick no sense of arguing the fact people take these contest a bit to serious sometimes anyone who enters any contest at all is a winner in ma book

Why didn't I win? Argh!!!!!!
Oh wait I didn't enter. Congrats winners and congrats judges on picking winners. I know personally how hard it is to pick 'the best'. Now to find a 'something something' for my stepdaughter. I never got around to entering her lego pile and can't tell her that I didn't. lol

And the winners are...
For the custom figure portion of the contest, 2nd prize is awarded to Commander Conall, a fantastic figure designed by TTT. We were so delighted to see the Captain of customs himself take part in the contest and especially to see some O-ring love is the mix. Your driver for the Ferret was superb! http://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-jo...ml#post2486806 First place figure has to go to Cheese Head, Sgt Humpty’s custom driver for the Badger. This Wisconsin boy pulled out all the stops to make his state proud. A great idea for a figure, a very smart concept and your love of home really shined here. http://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-jo...ml#post2461974 Lego’ My Custom winners 2nd place goes to the Alley Viper Car by TK1945’s son. A great Lego vehicle brought to life. This ride would fit into anyone’s Joeverse. http://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-jo...ml#post2486215 The big winner though is the Cobra Super Carrier by Tankster’s boy. All of the judges were floored by his creativity and imagination. It made us want to jump back into our 12-year-old selves, dump a bucket of blocks on the floor and go to town. We loved this ship and the feelings it evoked within in us. http://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-jo...ml#post2476474 The Lego section was very difficult to judge. Whenever you bring kids into the mix the judging criteria always gets little muddied. Obviously each child based on their age is going to be at a different skill level. And really, who are any of us say which kid wins and which ones weren’t good enough? SO ALL THE KIDS WIN! Yes, if your child entered into the Lego section of the contest tell them they’re getting a little something, something. They all worked very hard on their entries and each one of them deserves a reward. The Vehicles Now we come to the meat and bones of the contest. I’m not going to lie. This was a pain in the ass. We had no idea how many fantastic entries we would receive for this. It made our jobs very difficult. We even threw in an extra winners slot. There were just too many kick ass submissions! In 3rd place we chose Beachhead’s Atlas by gunfigher77 http://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-jo...ml#post2460773 A very cool vehicle and unmistakably Beachheads. Each of the judges really enjoyed this little beast you created. It’d look great kicking ass anywhere, just like the man you modeled it after. Our 2nd place finisher is Crystal Ball's MESMERON by willworkfortoys http://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-jo...y-ride-custom- This beast was beautiful! Willworkfortoys added every possible bell and whistle we could have ever hoped to see on a vehicle. AND HE MADE ONE FOR CYSTAL BALL NO LESS! We loved the hell out this. 1st prize goes to Barbecue's Fire cat by TK1945. http://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-jo...ml#post2485665 Here’s a piece of much needed tech for the Joes. TK saw that absence as an opportunity and made his Joeverse that much more complete than the rest of ours. We especially loved the detailing on the cockpit to resemble BBQ’s helmet. And our GRAND PRIZE WINNER, Headman Spark-1 by Misfit 1015 http://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-jo...ml#post2471666 No other vehicle better captured the theme of this contest than Misfit’s entry. It is instantly recognizable as Headman’s ride. The vehicle made sense as to why he’d have it. What drug dealer doesn’t need a high speed boat packed to the gills with guns? Most of all it sparked (no pun intended) our imaginations. As soon we saw that vehicle we immediately began thinking about play scenarios and exciting stories that could come about from it. Your piece was exquisite Misfit and was everything that this contest was all about it. So on behalf of Cobralalala!!!, Sho Nuff and myself, THANK YOU EVERYONE! This contest could not have more fun to be a part of. We owe that all to you guys. Not just the winners, but everyone who entered. We got to see some fantastic stuff and we could not be more proud of everyone’s entries. They were world class and you made our jobs as judges and absolute b*+%&. Everyone brought their A game here and no one left anything on the table. We wish we could reward everyone for their efforts, but winners, loser it doesn’t matter all that much. You got to show off your skills and everyone has a snazzy new vehicle that any tanker would love to own. You all did amazing! THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN! Winners should receive some detailed info later tonight about claiming your prize. Sit tight fella’s Once again, I thank you. |
