Not trying to be political here but I was curious if Sunbow forsaw Micheal Moore.I remember the episode with Hector Rimarez(forgive the spelling)trying to uncover if Cobra was not a threat.I remember the character of Arnold the peacenik that was tagging along. For these who never saw the episode Soiler alert,Arnold was really the baronese in disguise. The Arold character now does ressemble Micheal Moore. at leat in my mind.Again, not trying to be political.

You know, I was watching this very episode not too long ago, and I kept trying to figure out who Arnold reminded me of. It was killing me that I couldn't figure that out. And you're right it is Michael Moore. Thanks for clearing that up hah!
I wonder if he was even active in those days? |

At the risk of sounding political.... Micheal Moore is poorly groomed and gross to look at.

Maybe, maybe not. He's been active since the early 1970's, so it's not beyond the realm of possibility that the writers already knew about him.

Of course MM is somewhat of a characature himself and very well the makers of the sunbow series were just playing off that sort of stereotypical ideal. Look in film history there are tons of MM clones.

dont worry guys this thread is the exact opposite of politics. this would fall under the catagory of nonsense.
unfortunately nonsense often passes for politics in american discourse...

Life immitates art ,so maybe Michael Moore used to watch Gi Joe and read the marvel comic series as a teen.

I've often found that G.I. Joe was prophetic in many ways. Think about it... In the early 80s we weren't too worried about a global terrorist organization. We were in the wake of the Vietnam War. It was all about busting up "those damn commies". Today we're actually at war with global terrorist organization. It's as if we were almost conditioned to fight terrorism long before it was ever thought as a major problem.
"Fighting for freedom, wherever there's trouble..." I think I can speak for a handful of us when I say that some of us even joined the military right out of high school with thoughts of the Joes in our minds. I mean, we knew that the Joe universe was fiction but at the same time, there was a real element there. The things that the Joes fight for are the same things that real servicemen (and women) fight for today.
