We all have our favorite characters we love to read about so I figured I'd share a few of mine in no particular order.
1. Ghost Rider Whether it be Johnny Blaze, Damiel Ketch, or Robbie Reyes, Ghost Rider has always been a cool character in my book. Sure his story is a bit convoluted at times but they have always been entertaining at least. Plus the "Penance Stare" has to be one of the coolest super powers ever. 2. Swamp Thing/Man Thing I lump these two together cause they kind of came out at the same time. Yes I can tell you that Swamp Thing is clearly a plant ELEMENTAL that serves the green and Man Thing is more like a swamp GOLEM that defends the Nexus of all realities. Still both of their stories are enjoyable in their own right and they are still different enough to distinguish a difference between the two. 3. Jonah Hex I'll be the first to admit I had NO IDEA who this guy was until that mediocre movie was announced. Still before I saw said movie I did my homework, reading comics and even watching motion comics about him and I was hooked. I found the movie to be entertaining but also disappointing at the fact they changed a lot of things about the character. Cause I'll tell you right now, he DOES NOT talk to dead people. He's more like the kind of character that makes Clint Eastwood's "Man With No Name" look like Sheriff Woody, and that's not to be taken lightly. 4. Black Panther Not to sound like a hipster or anything but I liked T'Challa before the movie made him a household name. Mostly due to the Marvel Knights Motion Comic about him and the way he was portrayed in "Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes." Still what can be said about this guy that hasn't already been said? He's just an awesome character through and through. 5.Deadpool Hate him or love him, Wade Wilson's shenanigans in comics have put him on this list. His stories usually involve carnage, hilarity, and sometimes even a bit of slice of life at times. Like with Black Panther there's nothing much about him that I can say that hasn't already been said other than "Chimichaunga". 6. Lobo Like Deadpool, Lobo started off as a parody but kind of grew into his own identity. Granted that identity is that of immortal sociopathic alien, but that's part of the main man's appeal. He's totally 90's and I love it! 7. Judge Dredd Being the inspiration for one of my favorite movies (Robocop) puts Judge Joseph Dredd on my list. Not to mention he's a bad ass in his own right and he's just a guy with no super powers. Like Jonah Hex, he's got major grit and he gives no shits. 8. Moon Knight Although I was VERY disappointed with Disney's portrayal of this character, that doesn't stop me from enjoying his comic carnation which Disney does not have the stones to do. I mean we are talking about a guy with multiple personality disorder, that works for the Egyptian Moon God of vengeance, literally carved off the face of his archenemy and put it under the floorboards of his mansion and sometimes wears it on occasion. Yes Marc Spector is insane but that's what makes him INTERESTING. He is flawed like all of us but yet he wants to become a better person. 9.The Last Ronin Technically I'm kind of cheating with this, as it is more picking a mini series as opposed to a character. Still the Last Ronin is the last surviving turtle of the TMNT after the Footclan takes over New York and establishes a sort of new world order. So he's on the path of revenge. To avoid spoilers I won't say WHO this lone surviving turtle is, though I have a feeling that most people know already. 10. Spider-Man Finishing this list off with a classic. Spidey has always been one of my favorites since I was little, and it would be a crime not to put him on this list. What can I say about a pop culture phenomenon? He's witty, he's clever, he's strong and no matter what happens he doesn't give up.

I'm going to keep this just to characters that debuted in comics, because Darth Vader is one of my favourite characters of all time, but he was a film character before he was a comic character. With that in mind, in no particular order, my favourites are:
Spider-Man Batman Dr. Doom Mr. Sinister Wolverine Venom Apocalypse Magneto Two Face and Joker Clearly, I prefer villains and, aside from Batman, prefer Marvel.

I haven't read many comics outside GI Joe, but here goes, excluding GI Joe characters and movie or TV show first characters:
1. The Rocketeer. I have Dave Stevens' original comics in a collected edition and they're great. The 1991 movie is awesome: it's better than the comic. 2. The Shadow. Never read any of the comics or the pulps, but the radio show is awesome. 90s movie was a bit shaky at times. 3. Spider-Man. Only read about half a dozen of the comics, but the first two Raimi films are great. 4. Batman. The '66 show is fun, the '89 movie is great and the first two Nolan movies are okay. Never read the comics. 5. Superman. Only read a few of the comics from the 50s. Really like '90s Lois and Clark and the Fleischer cartoons are classic. 6. The Crow. Never read any of the comics, but the movie is rightly a classic. 7. Iron Man. His first movie was okay. Never read the comics. 8. Captain America. Second movie was okay, the first is meh. Never read the comics. 9. The Hulk. Enjoyed the Lou Ferrigno/Bill Bixby show, haven't seen it in years. Don't really remember Bana and Norton. Ruffalo Hulk sucks though. Haven't read the comics. 10. Wolverine. Never read any of the comics, and I barely remember the X-Man movies & cartoons I've seen. But the guy kept showing up in ads in GI Joe comics and I can't think of anybody else.
