I absolutely loved 155. As somebody that served and had very similiar feelings towards society as Wayne Collins son, I feel that was the absolute best issue. I never read it back then. Didn't get the chance til classics 15 was out, but damn.

Know how you feel. I was pretty sure my high school was a CIA front for an experiment in inbreeding. Couldn't wait to get out.

Yeah, when I re-read the series that's where I always stop too. The story, art and toys that appeared in the comic all went downhill after that.

Sounds like the IDW trade paperbacks are going for higher prices now? I bought each one of them as they were released through Amazon. I actually have digital versions that I got from a guy over 10 years ago who scanned in all his original comics. These were great scans, but nothing beats having the book in hand so I got them all again. I can't complain as I got them all for a fair price. I'm on the 15th and final volume now.

Really don't need to read the entire run to get into the new ARAH from IDW either, Hama is basically ignoring the whole Ninja Force/Eco-Warriors/Star Brigade/Green Firefly/Orange Mohawk Zartan stories.

I have the IDW GI Joe app for the iPad, and I have volumes 1-4 so far. I read the entire Marvel run back in 2008 when there was a certain website available that had the comics on there for free. I read up to issue 60 or so when I was a kid. To me, the Marvel run IS GI Joe.

I've done it, after finishing it feels like the entire journey only took a few months.

So Quick question can I just jump into the new series? I was a JOE fan from 84 .And now im just getting back into it. So are all the other series that have come out over the years is to be considered a DALLAS or NEWHART moment?

I'm up to Classics Vol. 3 (currently taking a break to catch up on my TF comics) and I agree, this stuff is great. I didn't get the appeal of Kwinn until I read Vol. 2; now I can't wait for his figure to come out, mostly so that I can shove it in some SERPENT armor. Similarly, I sought out a Rattler so that Firefly can be Wild Weasel's gunner. They're my favorite 80s Cobra Bromance.
It's so weird to find out that Duke and Roadblock don't even appear until Vol. 3, and Flint and Lady Jaye don't appear until Vol. 4! Firefly, Storm Shadow and even Destro take a long time to appear too. The stream of new characters that appear starting in issue 10 just gets ridiculous. |

I don't think you'll miss much by jumping into the new ARAH comics. There are some things that are carried over from the og marvel run, like the brain wave scanner, but it's all pretty intuitive. Or at least it seems that way to me, but I've read the og run also.
