I recently received a letter from a law firm stating that the company that sold the rights to boondock saints to NECA did not have the actual rights to do so - now NECA has to get rid of all their stock and stop selling the product line by Jan 22nd.
I have reached out to aquire more stock of the figures -- these should be worth some coin in the future! Here is a copy of the letter sent to us: http://www.rickstoyroom.com/boondock.pdf - Rick Rickstoyroom.com |

depends on how many were already manufactured whether they will be worth anything, not to mention demand.
it's standard procedure that a licensee is allowed a set amount of time to sell off existing merchandise after the end of the contract. that is essentially all that is occurring here, so if the toys that are being sold now were produced in the regular quantity that was established for the line, new toys being produced later on do not change the supply of those, so no new toys being produced doesn't affect the supply/demand that already exists for already produced merchandise. it all depends on the demand for the line. if it wasn't huge to begin with, I have a hard time believing people are going to race out and buy them just because no more new toys will be made. |

Not an anime... that's "The Boondocks".
The Boondock Saints is a wicked action movie. It's developed a cult following: IMDB: The Boondock Saints (1999) It's a must watch. |

Rick K, of Ricks Toy Room, stopped by our Toyark forums to share some interesting news. He received a letter from Kinsella, Weitzman, Iser, Kump & Aldisert LLP; A law firm representing Spartan Home Entertainment. Spartan sold the rights to the Boondock Saints to NECA toys, and NECA produced some figures based on that agreement.
Turns out that Spartan was never in possession of those rights to sell. So NECA is being forced to stop production on all Boondock Saints related merchandise. It's truly a strange turn of events. Click the headline of the story to get a glimpse at the full letter.
