I thought he was remaking Glen Larson's Battlestar Galactica? Man has a lot on his plate.

I have mixed feelings.I loved John Boorman's take on the legend.

Really iffy on that. Love the movie and cast, not sure on how he could improve on either.

There is no reason to remake Excalibur - that movie was John Boorman's magical interpretation of the Arthurian mythos. Not particularly accurate to the book, but an amazing movie. Bryan Singer is a very talented director and I am sure he will make an awesome movie - but it should be his interpretation. There is a lot of room. Heck, he could easily make it a trilogy.

I hope he does a better re-make of Excalibur than his attempt at Superman <shudder!>...
I do agree a re-make is not needed. |

This would be a huge mistake. Why mess with perfection and why the hell let Singer direct it. I mean Valkyrie was decent but let's face it he has been coasting on his success of the Usual Suspects for years. This would be yet another Hollywood attempt at trying to outdo Boorman's definitive version and Singer can bring nothing new to the plate...hell Superman Returns was nothing more than a remake of Superman...I mean come on...Lex Luthor, Criminal Super Genius, is going to try a hair brained get rich by land scheme again? Gimme a break Singer.
