Can't wait till Chuck comes back in spring! I loooove the show. The second season kept building up the fun and humor and romance and intrigue and I really look forward to what they have planned now that Chuck "knows kung-fu."
I also hope the rumors of the season possibly going longer than originally expected, maybe running into next year summer, are true. |

CHUCK is fun, witty, engaging, doesn't ponder it's navel at every turn and features two gorgeous females. Of course it'll get cancelled. Perosnally I love the show (even not counting the ladies it stars), so that's the kiss of death right there: The fact that I like it.
We need more hand-wringing, cinema verité 'shaky hand held camera' drama where everyone is scum and has a secret past and we see the worst, nihilistic side of mankind.:/

I'm glad Chuck got renewed. I hated that they put it on in such a tought time slot. Fox and NBC both SERIOUSLY need to learn to manage their shows and time slots better. A 10 year old sugar addicted kid with ADD could do better than those apes.
A lot of good shows are struggling because they put them up against shows they know they have no chance at winning a time slot. So when ratings drop and somebody at the network doesn't get the show or love it... what happens? It gets the axe or goes into a dreaded death slot that no one will watch. A show needs to find it's audience before you start shuffling it around on different nights. Firefly never took off because you could never find it. Why because someone at the network didn't get it. I may be wrong about that. I know the show looked good but never saw the first episode in it's original run. So I was fortunate enough when the series came out. I love Chuck, House, 24, Bigbang theory, and when it rolls around Monday Night football. (if a team I like is playing) So with 2 DVRs it gets kinda hairy. (I'm not made of money the second one is cheaper because of the first one). I was watching Sarah Conor but with that and Xplay and the previously mentioned shows all being on at the same time I had to make some tough choices and cut some things that weren't really capturing my interest. Although when I went back and watched SCC it did seem to pick up. I also like Eureka and Fringe. I'm a sci-fi fan through and through. I know the writing his a little heavy handed at times. The foreshadowing on a lot of shows is more like a light house than subtle hints. Burn notice is pure awesome. If you're interested look up the guy the show is based on. He actually sought out Alan Moore to find out about marketing. Well Alan Moores assistant. |

I don't watch NBC, ABC, or CBS unless there's football on or something.

I liked the first season of Heros, but when Brian Fuller went to run the sadly short lived and brilliant Pushing Daisies, HEROS had no clue where it was going. I have a feeling that has to do with Jeph Loeb. Then when Fuller came back the show got on track. When he left again the show jumped track so fast I don't even have a clever analogy for it. The writers of that show are so lost they need to be on an island on another network. Anyone else think they should cancel Heros and have Hayden go over to Chuck? No? Well wishfull thinking on my part.
Sorry I know this isn't about Chuck but I saw a lot of stuff wrong with Heros and thought I'd throw in my 2 cents on it. |
