I'm glad things are slowing down, which is actually giving more reason to enjoy my Joes because I'm not concerned at all about getting anything else. the last thing I ever want in my life is the continual pursuit of buying toys. and with less toys and characters coming out, that gives me more reason to customize more.

How about another wave of ARAH 25th makeovers, you could steal the last remaining 20 dollars in my wallet so I could buy 2 more figures, you could do that, or you know what, never mind I need another Duke, Cobra Commander, bring on the repaints.

I couldn't agree more. My 25th purchasing has ground to a halt. I pre-ordered the 7 packs and stingers and after that I might pick up 2 of the movie vehicles for customs. Then I'm done until Hasbro gets the hint (like they did with the transformers classics) that the nostalgia machine and us adult collectors are their bread and butter when it comes to G.I.Joe. They'll come back with our classic characters once the movie hype is over and these movie toys are rotting on the shelves.

interest waning fast. Im hardly on here anymore, and I dont care about all the movie toy news that we see. Is it just me or does it seem like everytime someone takes a picture of a product we have already seen it gets front paged?
It does feel good not to have to got to target walmart and toys r us every day. I havent even looked at my shelves in weeks

i dont like the customs, you all are doing great but i am old school with just taking the bodies apart. now the necks are to long some legs are to small. i want to love it but some joes and cobra are great i live it. and some toys just look like revamp body of old bodies and we jsut started. so i will keep collecting but i am half and half on it. however ill buy my joes forever i love them either way.

I still love Joe, and there are a few figures I've seen previews of in Rise of Cobra packaging (whether or not they're in the movie is irrelevant), in addition to some of the vehicles, that I'll go out of my way to pick up. But overall, I don't have the time or money I used to for this, which is sad, because I'd like to keep my collection up to date.
As of late, I've been immersed in the H.P. Lovecraft Universe. I've been working on writing my own additions to the Cthulhu Mythos, which will include other characters of classic and modern literature, and may even have room for a few Joes. |

yep, I agree with most, I started to loose interest around wave 12 (skipped most and all the recent cps) and have no interest in the new PP and TF planes. Burnt out from the repaints. i will probably buy the odd movie toy ( SE, SS, Destro) and some for custom fodder.
I plan on adding more 1:18 vehicles and if and when Hasbro brings back the classic figures, then they can have the rest of my money |

i stopped collecting joes around 86, so with the additions of the 7 pack joes, lowlight will be the last remaining must have for me. it won't be a loss of interest, it will just be finished.
now, if they redo every one ala resolute duke style, they may be able to sell me everyone twice. |

Hmm... I'm hardly a Hasbro defender these days but even I liked Pilot Scarlet and Flint in Disguise... as well as the Python Patrol/Tiger Force stuff.
If your standard is "I have to want to buy absolutely everything that is released" then your standard is simply to high. While I think Hasbro should always work to maintain it's core Joe Fandom, even fandom is divided on some issues. And while the "Greatest Battles" pack was pretty lame, it was still a bargain for kids totally new to 'Joe or for parents wanting to introduce their kids to it... so not everything can or should be about us. (Almost can't beleive I said that.) That being said, I'll point out the elephant in the room. It's THE MOVIE, IMO, that has dampened the interest in Joe Fans in general and activity on these boards. I won't even bring up my various disgusts with what I have sen so far as everyone is familiar with everything by now I just suggest you step back and look at history. Anyone also a Transformer fan? Anyone frequent TFW2005 or other fan sites leading up to that movie? Sure, some fans were unhappy with the TF movie over various issues, but overall most were positive. And activity rose and rose on fansites and the boards were more and more busy up to and until the movie was finally released. A building crescendo of interest and hype for every leaked image, ever plot thread. But GIJoe ROC? Interest has obviously declined and wavered with every leaked image, every revealed plotpoint. Sorry, but that's just the simple truth. Nothing against those that love "International PC Force GIJoe in Power Rangers Mecha- Force Suits vs The Evil of Jason X" but a great deal of us obviously thinks it sucks. Ass. So when you add up a lack of anything new on the shelf, whether it be Classic, Modern or Resolute + the knowledge that when some new product does hit the shelves it will be ROC = you get fans with withdrawing interest. I hope Hasbro gets smart about this at some point, but these folks approved Jason X Cobra Commander so...
