I think GI Joe existed in the Hamaverse before HM died - Wasn't Joe Colton the original Joe? But the ARAH team seems to have been assembled after HM's death. I don't consider HM a Joe. Red Star is Oktober Guard, but will have to stand alone for now. Maybe Hasbro will make us a few more at some point.

Agent, man... every time you comment it always ends in an exclamation point. Are you really that excited about everything you say? I wonder if you talk like that in real life, always excited? Might be fun at parties?

while I have no problem with the Hard Master character in the comics, the toy is a sucky piece of poo and I hate him. I bought the two pack just so I could read the Hama comic it came with but was disappointed.
Red Star, I like, and I consider him part of my Joe-verse |

Oh and in the original Line, Red Star had the distinction of having the best firing rocket launcher ever, that thing not only shot far, it had power too!
It's legendary between me and my brother. |

I agree with this. I'm the world's biggest hater of spring loaded and gimmicky weapons but Red Star's was one of the only one's that looked like an actual functional piece of gear.

No, and I refuse to buy the set too. Figure looks nothing like he did in the comic and the so-called "Snake Eyes" is lame. If they were going to make a straight ninja version they should have made him look like he did in SE: Declassified.

Hard Master = some guy, not a joe. He coul dbe a joe if he wanted but he would kick all of thier asses and is far to wise to mengle with such subordinates, Joes would most likley seek him out (if he allows it) for traning, not the other way around.
Red Star is kinda of out of place at this point given the way the Russians are all out of whack in regards to either being a federation or still communist. His name Red Star in it self resonates the cold war era Soviet style military doctrines. They are thier own version of elite special fighters like GI JOE and I guess in all militaries you have copy cat divisions (Spetsnaz vz. US Special Forces for example) which for Red Star is the Oktober Guard. Most likley allies at best but they have thier own government and own agenda. They were always racing to save the day with GI JOE to build communist worker support for thier country when I used to play with them. To me they were always a faction that was not 100% freindly to the Joes and could work with Cobra or Joe depending on what their ultimate goal was and that goal was usually to make them better than the Joes if they could do it. |
