How many chase figures have there been so far? I know about the transparent Wraith figure from Wave 10, and the black-helmeted Destro comic pack, but are there any others?

That wasn't really a chase figure though, was it? I thought that was just a production error...

i think all the 25th joes have been chase figures, considering how hard they are to find.
I bet in about 10 years if someone has a complete set of all these figures they are gonna go for a pretty penny |

I'd go with maybe even Yellow Stalker, sort of like brown vest Jedi Luke: an intention "mistake". But pretty much for sure Black Timber, clearn Wraith, Black Destro.

There are only two variants, black headed destro and clear wraith are variants, the others were production errors or changes, yellow stalker was a change to look more llike the card art.

I believe the Black Timber was in fact a "planned variant." I could be wrong though. Hasbro has done the "Black Timber" thing with other lines as well (such as Sigma 6).
As seen here... http://gofigureactionfigures.com/med...r-sigma6-t.jpg They are also on eBay. The Yellow stalker was a "production change," along the same lines as the Gung-Ho w/ Anchor on his Hat. They were made one way, but were then corrected to better suit what Big H wanted the figures to look like. Both of these are variants (and possibly planning "errors" on Big H's part) but they were not "planned chase" figures or "planned variants." At least to our knowledge! Other figures that fall into this category are... -Cobra Commander with "Outlined Buckles" and "Filled in Buckles." -Cobra Commander with "Dark Blue Mask" (Good call HissCommander!) -Shipwreck with "Anchor on Belt" and "w/o Anchor on Belt." -"Diaper Crotch" figures. -Zartan "Color Changing Logo" card changes. The first was printed on the card, the second was missing the logo altogether and the third was a sticker. -Doc with "Suicide Wrists" and "Fixed Arms." Does anyone know whether or not Shipwreck w/Shark tat. fell under this category, or was it a planned variant?? I've heard both stories on this one. There are also factory errors. Duke with "Upside Down Flag" is a perfect example. Or figures missing a logo on their body (like Cobra Symbols). Or figures packaged on another characters card. Technically, these can all be considered variants, but they were not intentional variants. Rather, they were mistakes made in the factory during production. So! I think the "Chase" or "Planned Variant" figures come down to the following list... -Snake Eyes w/Black Timber -Shipwreck w/Shark Tat. (up in the air though) -Black Head Destro -Transparent Wraith Exclusives: -Gold Head Pimp Daddy Destro (the chase version or "least produced" version of the 2007 SDCC exclusive Joe figure set) -Blue Suit Cobra Commander (the chase version or "least produced" version of the 2008 SDCC exclusive Joe figure set) Last edited by Gung-Fu; 11-15-2008 at 10:19 PM.. |

Ok, good. Sounds like I haven't missed any chase figures then.
