Cross the Scott Adkins "Ninja" from 2009 with the first few minutes of "Enter the Ninja", splash in a little Eric Van Lustbader, give it the look and feel of a Golan-Globus action movie from 1985, and base it around Storm Shadow, Snake Eyes, Zartan and Cobra Commander, with cameos from some of the original Joes. Minimal CG, no wire-fu, no CG blood.

Some suit probably pitched crossing American Ninja with Enter The Dragon. The way they handled Ninja Turtles(pretty sure Bay and Paramount produced & behind those disasters) and GI JOE alone really puts me off them making another GI JOE flick. The Transformers films are always the same stuff, overdrawn repetitive entertaining junk, with an ever confusing and half baked screwball mythology.

Awesome, just like in Larry Hama pulpy, we will get a chance to see Snake Eyes speak. In addition, I wouldn’t be surprised if early industry access to Daredevil S3 spurred this on. Take away the Catholic and Orange Man is Evil elements and you are most of the way to an SE movie. It’s a fabulous season!
Blond white boy Iron Fist and the ensuing critical, commercial and PR nightmare that ensued may retcon SE into being some flavor of Asian (why not?).

Snake-Eyes hasn't got a release date yet, G.I. Joe does, I don't believe the rumor that G.I. Joe will be called Snake-Eyes. In the announcement, it was G.I. Joe, Micronauts, Dungeons & Dragons, and and untitled Hasbro event movie, if G.I. Joe was untitled it would have say so in the announcement just like the untitled Hasbro event movie. So the official title at this moment is G.I. Joe.

Also here's good thing to point out, the last writers who talked about movies by Hasbro were wrong. The two writers who said that Hasbro didn't say anything to them about Rom and M.A.S.K. and they said those movies and most likely not happen, then Hasbro announced a writer for Rom and a director for M.A.S.K., so I'm not going to believe this writer who might not be working on the movie, because Hasbro can fire him if they wanted too.
