I think some of you are taking crimsonguard's post a little too personally. I've never met CG but I honestly think the only point he was trying to make is supporting the club isn't really supporting the brand.
Myself, I buy lots of figures I don't want. Not because I feel obligated to support some cause whether I like the figure or not. Rather, few figures are sold individually any more. Joes, in particular, either come in sets or subscriptions. Even the last retail Joes weren't sold individually. So I buy lots of toys I don't want. So how do I handle it? I don't complain about it. And I don't hold on to a bunch of toys that I find unnecessary or subpar. I buy the ones that I want along with whatever is included with them. Then I use the tank or ebay to sell whatever I didn't want. This allows me to buy what I want without paying secondary prices for them. Not ideal, but this is the reality of being a toy collector in 2018.

Thank goodness we have you to judge our level of success or failure. Here I thought I was in pretty good shape financially but thanks to your valuable insight I now know that my savings and retirement planning are all for nothing because I spent $400 on toys.
Thank you so much! To the person for whom my previous post was intended..you know who you are.
