With the exception of Flash. Flash is on its way here. But for everything else, big pass on all of these.
My wallet just thanked me for allowing me to save more. |

If they were going to re-use Junkyard, hey should have at least painted some white foam around his mouth.
I really like the "uniformity" of the Joes in the movie line. They actually look like a "real" team (well, most of them, anyway). I'm not really digging the skull-face look of the assorted movie Vipers, but maybe I'll change my mind after seeing the movie. If you're a Joe fan, you have to be pleased about the variety and volume of stuff that they are pushing out. If all of this stuff sells, Hasbro is sure to slap a fresh coat of paint and dump out every single old mold that they own. |

it just would been nice to see them put this much effort into keeping the clasic stuff strong instead of shifting focus like they did.

Don't kid yourself too much about the old mold stuff...your going to see this new branding for a long time to come... Weee more turtle vipers in lieu of Chrome Face Plate, fixed hands vipers :(

While I'm not blown away by any of these, most of them are pretty solid, and I'll probably end up picking up one of each. We've seen Flash before, but he's pretty darn cool. The dog handler and Red Fang Ninja are pretty cool, and I do like the accessory complement with the crimson Viper (the poisonous snake is a nice touch). Still, a lot of these movie figures just don't seem to have as much personality as the old RAH character designs did, even if they are a bit more realistic and subdued, I think they could have found more of a happy medium in making some of them more interesting.

The classic stuff wasn't strong enough to warrant this much effort. The retailers wouldn't support it to that level without a major media tie-in. You may as well be asking for the moon.
Wait...you're selling your old collection because you don't like the new stuff coming out? The whole collection? That's ridiculous. I figure there are better things for me to spend my money on so why waste it on a franchise or property i no longer am happy with?

Perhaps to you but given i dont like the direction they are taking the style of figures, ie powersuits, incorrect or ugly style of classic figures like the "Flash" figure or the ugly repainted bbq or just plane out ugly figures like Helix (nice to have a new female figure..too bad shes gotta be a wanna be goth), heavy duty and Static line ( i will never call marlon Ripcord)
I figure there are better things for me to spend my money on so why waste it on a franchise or property i no longer am happy with? Especially since it's all-but-certain that Hasbro will start producing "classic" themed stuff once the movie hoopla has passed. Might not be on "classic" cards but we'll know it for what it is. Now if you're selling your collection because you need the money, that's a whole different enchilada, but selling it as some kind of "protest" against the movie is just...weird. |
