As soon as i can get it, i intend to use the Poe TBS 3.75 head for Chuckles. It's got the right amount of curl and parts on the correct side.

Basically I dremeled out Rose's face leaving the ears, visually sized up the hole I'd made, cut off Paige Tico's leather flight helmet thingy, then cut Paige up until she was about the right size to fit. I had to keep dremeling and cutting as I tried to fit them together and got closer and closer to the right fit, but ended up with too much space in the middle, so I filled the gap with epoxy. Might have dremeled again to make a ball socket, then used the old glue trick to create a clean ball-socket fit. EDIT: changed the picture to be clearer / less busy: Last edited by ARBCO Avenue; 10-13-2018 at 09:56 AM.. |

@ 46Zone:
The Noks are awesome! So Nok-like to ride without a helmet with 2 Axes strapped to your back! Steel Judas is a brilliant! @axonrey I can totally see Poe as Chuckles now - great idea! |

Thanks. I have more Noks with Bios in the easy Kitbash thread. Gotta go back to 2016 though.

Bored today waiting for parts to come, so I thought I'd return to this thread I've neglected. Sad how hard I work to keep the hobby fresh and relevant, with very little 3.75 at retail.
First time buying any of The Corps figures. Spent $2 to scratch this irresistable itch to reduce his chin size. Modified headsculpt: Original: Thankfully, the plastic was easy to carve. If only I could make him more like his cart art, he'd be just perfect for Budo. I did modify the nose and lip as well as the the oversize jaw, but couldn't quite reach the likeness I'd hoped for. In general The Corps are too stylized for my tastes, but I might go back and harvest some other random parts, now that I know that the plastic is good for that. Can't beat the price! I studied the profile to see where I wanted to make cuts, then I cut carefully carved the jawline I wanted, to under the ear, and along back of the hair. Still using the hobby knife along the way I also started to hollow out a starting point underneath for where the socket would be. I chose which neck-post would fit (very important), so I'm eyeballing where the dremel bit should and continuously comparing head and neck ball, and trying out the fit, as I go deeper. You don't work too quickly 'cause you don't want to cut too deep/too far, but you can always save yourself with the old glue gun trick. I should share a picture of the underside later, but there's probably a tutorial on the Tank that explains all this even better. Does anyone know the link?

Nice job!!! I know if I tried that, half of his face would be sliced off, and covered with blood.
My blood as I'd have a huge gash in my thumb from the hobby knife.

"It's just a flesh wound!"
Thanks 46, Actually I make hundreds of tiny cuts to avoid any really big ones (in the figure not me), and I wiggle the plastic back and forth onto the knife rather than push hard. Takes patience but much safer. and strangely therapeutic to chop these guys up |
