Forgot to mention, I love that you added the Airborne wings to the shirt. Did you make a resin cast or Dremel it from the action figure? Gotta add this to my custom Duke!

Wow! If Hasbro can give us a box set of 1984 Joes done as nice as yours, I would be so happy.

I know. It's nice. I was proud of my Spirit custom until I saw his...haha. It is really nice. I love the Duke and still can't believe Hasbro never released a definitive Duke for us.

And thanks to you and everyone for the positive feedback. I really wish these versions were available to everyone. Or that the club would have concentrated on A-lister updates like these, especially after Hasbro decided to stop producing stuff. The new backgrounds and lighting were done to evoke packing photo and promo art, and really kick up a feeling of what could have been. I plan on using this style for my T13 individual shots (among some others styles) and was testing it on these guys first. |

Additionally, most produced figures from this btand and others have eye whites and irises painted a bit too large, so I'm usually painting around them so they're smaller (or scraping them down with knife) to get closer to the sculpt's intent. Makes a big difference, in my eyes |

I remember seeing a re-paint of the Benedict Cumberbatch Dr. Strange head back around when that movie came out. Wish I could remember who the painter was to give credit, but the difference between his paint and the factory's was so dynamic. His repaint looked just like Cumberbatch.
That's when I started to learn to look through the paint and try to see the sculpt. It's a real insult to these sculptors when these terrible paint jobs mask their work. Not only have you done an excellent Spirit custom overall, but you've allowed that sculptor's work to get the credit it deserves with the outstanding paint.

Adding my vote for that Spirit being an amazing custom! Was a huge fan of Spirit back in '84, and that is what a real nod to the original should look like! Roadblock and Duke are both stellar as well. Great work all around!
