Dunno about any of this dude, chill out...all I said was he was a sell out for allowing them to do ROC and di not once speak up about the shit they put in in it and ENJOYED ruining it forever...I dunna care who the fuck he is or what he has done or what ever political message your trying to land/defend but none of it matters as ROC has his seal of approval on and for that he deserves the death penalty...
Awesome argument buttressed with infallible logic. I think I'll take my leave of this thread now. Last edited by zuludelta; 06-03-2009 at 11:15 PM.. |

I have liked almost all of his stuff. So far, I have liked his new Joe book.
And he had nothing to do with ROC. He didn't write it. They may have brought him in, but I do not believe he really had much input in the movie. Over the years, he's more than proven himself to be a good writer (especially GIJOE). Yes, he's had some stinkers, but most writers do at some point. He deserves our respect.

Oh and you have to hand Larry this much as well, nobody...and I mean NOBODY writes better filler issues than Larry, two of the best issues ever are the air duel between Ace and Wild Weasel, and the sea duel with the Joes on the Jane and the atol battle.
Both issues were brilliant and had NOTHING to do with the main storylines at all, just a plain flat out action issue. And Deckard even Larry's miricles can nix the satanic powers that make Duke in Captain Grid-Iron's painted grey and black uniform climbing a building like a monkey. |

I agree with you about his ability to make some sweet lemonade with some pretty sour lemons though. |

Thanks for posting your thoughts, ZD. I echo the first half of your message pretty strongly myself. |

I've always loved Hama's stuff. I'm waiting for the trades on IDW (too much TF stuff to keep track of monthly). But the #0/FCBD story with Duke was really good and has me excited for the new series.
