Sounds like a pretty sweet deal for some toys, myself. If I'm lucky (I mean if they're even on the pegs), I can get Joes at stores $8 and change, with the standard UPS shipping the figures are $4.80 apiece. Not bad iffn you ask me.
And the Ross stores in my town don't get bubkis. Nor do the Big Lots. Probably has something to do with the fact that the various Targets, Wal-Marts, and Toys R Us stores up here don't get bubkis, either. Wahhh. I cry so sad.
I did, however, find a nice set of some Blaire's hot sauces for 2 bucks a bottle at a local Ross this year. That was pretty cool.

The first person that finds them at Ross and says "I am so glad to get these because I missed my chance the first time" is going to get a cyber bitch slap from yours truly.

I'll wait for Ross or a better price on the secondary market.

Man, it's no wonder GI Joe products get canceled and stores stop carrying them with all this "I will wait until they are cheaper or clearanced before I buy them" attitudes people have.
This is why Sgt. Slaughter, Dial-Tone and Zarana figures are making their way to con exclusives instead of at retail stores. Hasbro makes its money once it sells the product to BBTS, Target, Walmart, etc but if those places have to constantly put stuff on clearance or pull them off shelves so they are sent to Big Lots, Tuesday Morning and Ross stores they will not keep stocking the product.
atomicpower says
I know, Jeff. If they'd make products that I'd want to spend my money on, I'd gladly pay them their prices. But nobody needs another version of any of these characters. If I could find Low Light, I'd pay retail. If I could find a Crazylegs, I'd pay retail. I don't think there's anything else they've released in the past two years that I've needed.
