Finally, after three years of waiting, it seems that Namco-Bandai and Project Aces have not forgotten those of us who don't doing barrel rolls in eye strain-o-vision.

The Ace Combat series is one of the main reasons I bought a next gen system (along with Resdent Evil and Final Fantasy); I was just hoping that Fires of Liberation would finally be ported to the PS3, but this is even better!!! Woohoo!!! I am finally going to be able to play Ace Combat on my PS3. *sheds tear* LOL.

I was really disappointed that the 360 Ace Combat was never brought to PS3 and HAWX wasn't really on the same level. Can't wait.

Did anyone else think the Trailer looked like the scene in Transformers where Starscream fought the F-22s?

It is kind of weird they are going to have helicopters in this one though... for me Ace Combat is about pretending I am in the movie Top Gun starring Tom Cruise... not Firebirds starring Nicholas Cage. LOL.

So they're boosting the graphics, making it multi-platform, AND giving the gameplay a overhaul from the looks of it. I'm drooling just at the thought of it. My only gripe: Will we ever return to Strangereal? There are still so many questions left unanswered, so many stones left unturned.

Oh good, I'm not the only one who thought that. HAWX was a disappointment, in spite of the MASSIVE dosage of sweet metal tail fins and the interesting OFF mechanic. It came just short of my expectations, but was a good game nonetheless. Hopefully 2 will improve on it in every way imaginable; I'd like the Strike Eagle to LOOK like a Strike Eagle this time around.

I think it's a response to how Ubisoft is promoting HAWX 2 as "encompassing all aspects of aerial warfare". Gotta show those Romanians how it's done, after all.

Did anyone notice this one actually takes place in America as opposed to fake countries shown in the last few Ace Combats? Maybe not the whole game, but one character says "Bandits on confirmed on ddirect course to Miami" Bringing the fight to America seems to be a trend in video games lately.

Personally, I'm a 360 guy. Can't speak for the PS3, so I won't.

And collateral damage to me seems like a great way to bring back the Ace system from Zero (Knight, Soldier, Mercenary). Knight having zero or very little collateral, Soldier having a moderate amount, and Mercenary meaning you tore up New York without a second thought. Or something.

Joint Assault is already bringing Ace Combat to the real world, which means we're leaving the arguably MORE depressing world of Strangreal behind, as I mentioned. This could prove interesting, but my question is, will this affect the use or introduction of Super Planes? 'coz I want more of them.

And here's hoping for user-custom paint schemes. If I kill someone online, I want them to know it was a man in the blue, black, and white F-15C with the shark face, instead of just another Eagle pilot.

Custom paint schemes would be cool. Ace Combat Zero had some "interesting" paint jobs on enemy planes. As fsr as super planes, I'd rather keep them out of this game if it's trying to be more realistic. In fact I think AC5 looked more realistic even with it's crazy stuff then this trailer.

I think it would be awesome if you could build your own plane in multiplayer. You could unlock new parts as you level up. This would allow you to make super planes. Or Frankenstien planes.
