I got the Wii a couple of months ago and it's ok. I like the shooting games when the Wii moves you room to room, but sometimes you don't have the time to pick up something and the system will not let you go back for it.
I feel like I am part of the game and I like that the most. I think other systems should have you feel like you are part of it. The graphics are good, but not great as PS3 and Netflix will have the discs coming out this spring for the Wii to watch instantly on your tv. I think that will be awesome. It sucks that most systems only come with one remote and I think they should come with two. I get nervous with the kids playing with the Wii. I always think the remote will fly into the tv. I think the cords should be longer between the remote and the nunchuck thing. I have one kid that pulled the end out of the nunchuck. What do you guys think about the Wii compared to other systems.

I like the wii for certain games (Sports Resort is the Bomb!!! and Super Mario Brothers) but aside from that the games library is weak. Graphics wise it doesn't really compare to PS3 and Xbox 360. It is a lot of fun though, especially when playing as a group.

When my PS2 stops working, I will get a PS3 for me. The Wii can play games from gamecube I think. You have to read the book on it, you can't use the Wii remotes, but you can hook up the wired controllers.

Like the previous poster said, the Wii is good for certain games but if you are wanting knockout, jaw dropping graphics then you are probably best suited for a PS3 or XBOX system.
I bought the component cables for my Wii awhile back that enhances the graphics to the full 480p resolution and I have seen a difference in the games. I have a Wii and PS3 and I will buy the majority of the games for the PS3 and leave the "fun" games to the Wii.

I love the Wii. It was the first system that I've bought since the SNES. Graphics don't really matter to me. It is the fun of the game. That's what I have found with the Wii. My wife's 86 year old Grandfather and his twin brother (let that sink in for a bit...) have a Wii and it keeps them active. (they bowl to decide who is making dinner) I'm not into first person shooters or fighting games. Stuff like Super Mario Galaxy, Punch Out etc... are great in my eyes.
I'm also a big fan of the controls. I'm not a hardcore gamer. I'd rather have a game with lots of replay value. Not saying that the other systems don't have them, but I just feel more at home with a Wii. |

I use my Wii mostly for entertaining purposes. It is great for when people are over. Anyone can just pick it up and play.

Every time I do, I take a look at the game selection (because obviously I'd want to buy a couple games to go with it right away), and I never end up buying it in the end. There's just so much crap... The only ones I seem to want are Mario Kart, the other Mario type games, Metroid and Zelda. It doesn't seem like there's much else out there...
