Cold War is one of the few COD I haven't played yet.
In general there's a lot of variety in mission design: some stealth, some open world, linear cinematic action... Personally I haven't liked it; for me it lacks a direction, it has probably been developed by a ton of different studies. When it sticks to the old COD formula - linear levels, cinematic action - it's great as always, but those moments unfortunately are over quickly. Definitely worth a try though. I thought Cold War's campaign was pretty good for some of the Deus Ex style stealth levels. While they didn't have near the depth. We don't really get games like that anymore so it's better than nothing. There's a really good level where you infiltrate a soviet administration building and are given multiple options with dialogue choices on how you want to complete it. |

That's a shame, I loved the old bombastic Michael Bay style COD's of old. MW3 from the original trilogy was the last one that I think truly captured that.

As for modern COD, I did really enjoy the Modern Warfare reboot. Not as good as the original perhaps, but a great campaign nonetheless. |

This looks freaking awesome and a great way to do a retro styled game.
I'll check it out when it goes on sale. I don't really play CoD MP these days so I can wait. |

I hope Gothic's remake would be as cool as the original but with updated graphics and gameplay.

Finished up Echoes of Wisdom, it was pretty fun and kept me pretty engaged. I would only recommend it for those who like traditional top down zelda games.
Getting back into Bayonetta 3 since I never finished it. The game just has poor pacing in giving out weapons where you hardly get any new weapons throughout the first 2/3 of the game then they give you a bunch of weapons in the last few levels. Was thinking about getting Trepang 2 while it's on sale on steam. I saw some trailers of that and it seems like they had some issues during development but things are moving forward. I think it's been in development for over five years now. |

I picked Battleship on sale on Xbox right now.
The new mode has some depth, but it's slow. Classic mode captures the essence of the old board game, but I doubt someone is playing online. I'm going to study how they've approached it for a while, then I'll probably try to build one in Unity. Vintage look, classic mode strictly. AI should be fun to write. Any devs/indie/hobbysts here? |

Used to, but haven't recently. When I do it's mostly custom content for ZDoom. My brother does some RPG Maker stuff.

I also really need to get either Photoshop or a functional equivalent so I can get back into editing sprites/textures. (I can't activate my old copy of Photoshop CS2 anymore as the activation servers were taken down a few years ago.)
