I don't know the name of this thing but they are usually set up at kiosks in malls...you know, the all in one video game system that stores all the classic Sega and Nintendo games. I think they go for around $80. I sold off my Nintendo and Sega years ago and I'm always tempted to pick one of these systems up. Anybody here have one...is it any good? Does it actually work or is it a big scam?

I saw something like that before at Rhyno Games, before Gamestop bought them out. It played NES and SNES games, but the NES games fit in there from the top... kinda like Atari games. Never got one though since I still had my old NES and SNES at the time. The dude that worked there said that they were pretty good quality.

This is kind of like the plug in games you find at Target and Walmart only that it holds about 80 vintage games from NES and Sega. I've never seen them at retail only in kiosks which have me skeptical on quality and if it will last longer then a week.

They are lower quality. Most plug and play games are. There are a few systems (like the FC3 Ultra) that are combined systems (NES, SNES,Genesis). They will play all the original cart games but no games are included. The FC3 is a good value and pretty durable. I sell them locally, so I've played with them to insure quality. I am always sold out : - ( But you can find them online almost anywhere.
The best way to compact your game collection is through PC storage and emulation. Download them all, put your originals in a storage unit, and have a blast : - )
