GI Joe isn't nearly as successful as Transformers.

I don't understand why the Joes don't have more games, the franchise is perfect for it. I always wanted a Metal Gear Solid style G.I.Joe. Army Men 3d with Hasbro figures would be cool, car-combat, first person shooter, fighting, MOBAs. Any way they go they have the option to use the toy-line to avoid controversy over war related violence. My dream Joe game would be open world on a HUGE Cobra controlled island, complete with mountains, jungles, deserts, rivers. It would need military barracks, weapons manufacturing district, prison complex, residential areas, medical facilities, docks, cobra HQ, secret labs, ect. Joe HQ will be offshore, mobile base, aircraft carrier, maybe underwater. I want an epic single player story that uncovers a sinister Cobra plot the Joes stop just in time involving land, air, and sea warfare, on foot or in vehicle as well as stealth infiltration missions AND the option to play Cobra's side of the story. Choose military roots (Navy,Air-force, marine corps, army, ashrikage) choose fields of expertise (marksman, sharpshooter, CQC, tech, heavy weapons, mechanical, medical) and then rank up. Each one will give different abilities balancing out co-op team battles. Apply this to online sandbox gaming and you have a game I won't stop playing. GTA online with lasers and less racing. Rank up to get cooler gear, like rocket packs and Vulcan laser cannons.

They need to use the Unreal engine and make a game in the same vein as Splinter Cell.
Multiplayer vehicle and infantry combat like Battlefield is necessary. |

Hate to say it but Hasbro is a for profit toy company first, and unfortunately as stated several time G.I.Joe is not the money maker it once was.
For us to get an okay Video game it would have to be for them to include G.I.Joe as an add-on to say a Skylanders/Disney Infinity knockoff. All they would have to do is add RF IDs stand or something to each of their products and Bam, every one wants to buy the figures again and most would see value in a Price hike of $2-$3 over the average $9.99 per figure. (Skylanders & Disney Infinity "toys" are about $12-$14 new) Well that's my thought anyway. P.S. I would also like to see them do a "Call of Duty" like game, as it fits the story. Considering from 1982 - 1994 they only released 2 games for GI Joe on NES there was a lot of missed opportunity then 1 game for XBOX 360. They could have at least released a game on SNES before GI Joe phased out. Then they made no game for Retaliation movie. At this point I'd like to see any GI Joe game that would do it some justice.

Well things are different nowadays with DLCs. Most of those launched games had a very strict character selection which makes the game not so appealing at least from my point of view.
Now with DLCs being something normal I see some potencial here. They could release characters and vehicles as addons. An open world game would be the best rather than menus with missions. Something set in a city that Cobra conquers for example or in a Cobra Island battle where the player can go around and carry main missions and optional ones, something that can be seen in Batman Arkham series for example. DLCs make the games less boring and more profitable since they can get money from the game even after a few months after it's release.

I can't comprehend why there aren't Joe games. Military and war themed games are best sellers every year. How hard would it be to make a Call of Duty clone with Joe characters? Battlefront has basically mastered the shooter/vehicle combo formula. GRAW, XCOM, RE5, Metal Gear.... Any of these types of games could work if just given a Joe coat of paint. Its not like they'd have to reinvent the wheel, here.

I would love it if there was a create-a-character feature that allowed you to make your own characters and even change uniforms for existing characters, plus a very large roster, of at least 100 characters(wishful thinking but it would be awesome).
