Havent seen anyone else mention this one yet.
Apparently Konami is coming out with a free-to-play collectible card game for our devices on Sept 4. Its going to be based on the the 6 current movies. Not sure if the screen image in the link is what the game will look like but I will definately be giving this a try Star Wars: Force Collection Card Game Coming to iOS and Android - IGN |

I got this today and so far I am having a blast with it. Its done by Konami and feels like a you have a lot more interaction than Battlegrounds, Legends or Alliance.
John Williams theme and sound effects as you play really add to the game. Looking at the iTunes reviews your supposed to be able to add people to your squad using codes but I haven't gotten that far yet. Hope to hear so other reviews. |

I hate this damn game, I cant get off it.
If you get it I have a few tips. As you rank up you can allocate points to either do more of the quests or be stronger in PVP once assigned you cant get the points back. Add your allies to get points to open more packs. Do the Join Me Mission and make sure you send the messages to your allies. Once you get the game you get to PVP for free for 24 hours. This is a great way to rack up a lot of cash to pay for upgrades. The reason I mention this so that you can rank high in the daily rankings. Try and get to the second planet Endor quickly so that you can win the blue prints for the AT-ST. Once you have those plans you can win one of the six pieces of the blue prints in the Loot PVP battle and get all the upgraded version. Once you reach level 20 you can trade cards. Hear that DeVa. Im not there yet so I have no details on it. For the Star Wars purists they might not like that the cards from all 6 movies play and fight each other together but Im having a blast. |

I was horrifically unimpressed. The gameplay foundation is interesting with the quest interactivity and the formation system is definately more compelling than Joe's.
Like the fact the game rewards with both credits AND crystals (which act as all purpose currency) But the UI and optimization is crap. Very unintuitive in where the menu goes, several points of redundancy. Cumbersome in things like upgrading (why can't I pick more than one level with MORE than enough credits?). Music is redundant. As much as I like the classic Star Wars music, hearing the same 3 tunes over and over gets VERY repetitive. Not even rearranged, but seemingly just rips from a soundtrack CD. Even the DeNA stuff made some arranged material that is much simpler which acted better as "background noise" that just running the key themes. A big issue I have is the lack of factions. The game basically forces you to decide to be Dark Side or Light Side. Everything you do moves you on that scale, which means if you start skewing more Dark Side, you'll loose bonuses for your Light Side cards. In general, the game has a significant bias against being "evil", from the campaign structure (one campaign, period, fighting Empire troops and vehicles) to the card pulls (of the 22 or so cards I pulled, all but maybe 5 were light side cards) My biggest gripe is the lack of optimization all around. More than a few places, despite a nice sized 7" tablet, the game only uses less than a quarter of the available screen estate, especially in precision places like the upgrade and formation menus. The few places where the game does use the full screen estate, the graphics have that pixelated "blown up" look. In addition, instead of simple "swirling circle" when lag appears, the game cuts to blank screen, right before having to do another 3 second saber strike to clear an area. While some good ideas here, the lack of faction options (sometimes I want to roll with the dark side), the bias against being Dark side, and the generally poor optimization shows Konami really care much about that so much as getting out a Star Wars mobile card game and eek out some cash from people buying crystals. It's sad that, for all their flaws, I've found both Transformers Legends and GI Joe Battleground to be more polished products from a company nowhere near the size of Konami. (And no, I don't have any bias against Konami, it's the fact for being among the world's largest game publishers with one of the world's most lucrative license, I expected a more polished product)
