Okay, Hisstankers. This is the Mortal Kombat discussion thread. Discuss the movies, tv show, video games, etc.
I've been in a ninja phase lately. I converted one of my two MCC into a Cobra ninja dojo. I've been doing a lot of research on them, playing Ninja Gaiden/Shinobi, and watching Sonny Chiba films. But one thing, I've always loved was Mortal Kombat. Each Ninja had distinct personalities and had a solid background. Where else, could you get ninjas that freeze, are ghosts, turn into dinosaurs, and are robots? Add to that the multilayered storyline involving US special forces, crime syndicates, astral gods, demons, and dragon men. There was so much to love about these games. So what did you love about Mortal Kombat, besides the blatant gore and fatalities? Who were your favorite characters? Who did you often play in the game? What were your first memories of the game? My favorite characters are Goro, Kitana, Reptile, Kabal, and Scorpion. My first memory of the game was when I played in Halloween night in 1991-1992? in 7-11. I loved playing as Kabal and Scorpion. I still do to this day, the moves are easy to execute and they had the best fatalities. Last edited by Zoltron; 01-19-2009 at 05:28 AM.. Reason: added Hisstank |

Mmm. MK2 on the SNES. Nobody could beat me. I knew every move, fatality, babality, friendship and environmental fatality by heart.
Mortal Kombat is one of my favorite game franchises of all time. Baraka is my mutant. Also love Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Reptile, Smoke, man, all of them. Liu Kang's bicycle kick at the beginning of every round because you could charge it before FIGHT! came up. I'd love to be able to play you guys. Any version, any time. |
