I looked around for some preservation tips but couldn't find them - Mods please move this if there's another such thread
Otherwise We all value our collections, otherwise we wouldn't spend all this time talking about toys. It's tough to have to deal with it then when you lose on an investment of your your time, treasure and memories. I just recently had flooding in my home and lost irreplaceable comics, cards, and carded figs. I've found out for example as the week has gone by that the glue on carded figs from 90's star wars and 80's robotech do not hold up well in the humidity you have after a flood, even if they are in plastic cases. Too late for me- but maybe not for you. If you get high humidity in your home, take the figs out the plastic cases you think are protecting them and get them out of the home so they stay dry, instead of leaving them on display and in the case, which is collecting moisture. Let the plastic case air out and THEN put them back in. This summer is predicted to be tough all throughout the midwest for flooding, any number of things can happen, so I thought it would be timely to have us all share preservation tips for carded and non-carded figures, vehicles and playsets. Please post your tips here.

I hope you don't live in Findlay...that place floods all the time.
Obviously you want to stray from cardboard containers or boxes that aren't acid-free. Plastic tubs containing figures, again, wrapped in plastic is good. double protection from moisture..even the tubs allow small amounts of moisture in basements, etc. I have been thinking about investing in a vacuum sealer....
