I remember years back where I live was a clearence/liquidation warehouse, dad all his tools dirt cheap there. I remember about this time 20-25 yrs ago he got me a bad-ass WWII army men playset with a mat, a crapload of troops US/UK vs Nazi/Imperial Japan. Also remembering a tank-like vehicle german w no guns but in drivers seat was a hitler-type officer all troops molded in green, tan, khaki, grey and some in black. Also came with planes and tanks and rafts and boats.
Was pkg in a box tried lookin on ebay no luck....Anybody know of any idea what this is? |

I have these WWII figs and armor in 25th scale. However, are you speaking more in terms of those small 1 inch plastic army men?

Yeah they were plastic ones the flags german was red black yellow/japan white red circle no rising sun. The tanks had blk crosses/japan flags. German side came with tank like vehicle w/o cannons and was open roofed with a hitler type officer that fit in drivers seat: had the same stance of those jungle men with the zebra painted range rover that came in those zoo/wildlife animal sets. This army set came boxed with all items and plastic playmat to setup.

PC version my dad got it for me in the 80s. To me it was the OG UBP set for little army men. Think in total it had 200-300 pieces.

Looking for a set purchased in 1972, WWII 5 army, 5 color, 2-3 inch plastic set from my childhood...USA-dark green, Nazi-gray, British-tan, French-light blue, and Russians-light green, with matching equipment, tanks, jeeps, trucks and so fourth.... what made this set so special, was each army was cast not only in it's own color, but with it's country's own uniform's, hat's, helmet's and weapon's, very detailed, as well as graphic, as there were dead soldiers portrayed as well, shot men while running...and the details of all the soldiers was just awesome....any one else lucky enough to get this for their 11th birthday, or even better, have it now??? lol
