After the past few years I can get collections getting out of hand, happened to me, but doing nothing about it I don't get, especeally those who rent storage buildings, what good does your stuff do you when you can't get to it.
Overall collecting is an individualized thing so I don't fault anyone what they collect, whatever makes them happy. But types of collectors I don't get: Completets: I mean I fully get getting things you like, but EVERYTHING!!!!! a subsection of this would be the uber completeists. I have heard people say "That figure sucks, I am only buying 3 of it." Uh, if it sucks why buy one? MIB collectors: Now I get the idea of wanting to keep it in the box, but what I never get is what the hell is the point of buying all this stuff and never opening it, its toys for crying out loud, if you want pretty pictures download the pa kaged pics on the net or something, but this is really talking about those who never, ever open anything, it's just weird. Investers: Yeah get over it, you might get a return on one item or two, but overall you will lose out. |

I get coins. You can have a really old coin collection - I mean, if you have stuff going back to the Roman era that's pretty cool. There's not much that you can collect that can go back that far in history.
Sneakers... I mean, I get the idea of wearing them, or wanting old-school shoes or whatever, but having tons and tons of them, not so much. But hey, whatever. It's not the craziest thing I've heard. I don't know, do people still collect bottle-caps? That doesn't sound too interesting...

before toys, i used to collect sneakers. i've always enjoyed shoes and putting together outfits with certain slick kicks makes all the difference in the world. ladies love cool kicks.
once i got into collecting toys and shacked up with my now fiance, i sold my mint Jordan collection. there's less stress when you're no longer paranoid about someone stepping on your toes! |

It seems like almost everyone collects something. It may seem silly to me, but I'm sure that collecting toys seems just as silly to them.

Used to collect sneakers too. I could get easily at least a grand for the couple I have left but I just can't let them go haha.
