Interesting predicament that Hasbro is in.
Cantina pieces have been attainable for many years from custom shops and with enough ppl that just want cantina figures made, a Haslab cantina might be a test of how far the fanboys can carry a Haslab. Agree with Ax, the Tonnika sisters are only in a Haslab that will burn.

Uh-oh... I just got emails from EE that my Stormtrooper pre-orders have been cancelled:
Quote:
Unfortunately, we're sorry to report that the manufacturer has notified us that we will not be receiving any additional shipments of the Star Wars TVC Imperial Stormtrooper Action Figure (Item HSF5572) you ordered, because they have discontinued production of this item. No additional information was provided to us by the manufacturer as to why this occurred. Sadly, that means we will not be able to ship it to you and have cancelled it from your order. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes.
Target reportedly drops TVC, Hasbro cancels a retooled Stormtrooper release, what does it mean? If Hasbro discontinued production of this particular troop builder that seems to signify bad things.

I dunno about that. My gut tells me most guys are full to the brim of bog-standard stormtroopers, regardless they've *finally* been given a good artic format. Is there any armybuilder from any property in any toyline that's been produced in such quantity as OT Stormtroopers, not counting the mostly-individualized Clones? With nothing to differentiate them from every other Stormie ever made aside from the base pose and poseability, I feel like the guys wanting MOAR are very few and far between.

At first I thought EE was screwing me since I ordered the first batch at $13.99 before the new listing appeared at $16.99. I figured they were backing out of that order. But then the next email was them also canceling the few extras I ordered at $16.99. So...Hasbro doesn't want to sell TVC Stormtroopers anymore, apparently? Target reportedly drops TVC, Hasbro cancels a retooled Stormtrooper release, what does it mean? If Hasbro discontinued production of this particular troop builder that seems to signify bad things. Thankfully I DIDN'T sell all my old Stormtroopers last weekend at the flea market like I intended. But honestly, this makes me more and more ready to move on from my OT stuff. Why can I get clones a dime a dozen but Stormtroopers over the last three years are IMPOSSIBLE to get in TVC? |

I have hundreds of Stormtroopers. But they're mostly meh in terms of being action figures. |

I don't live and breathe the stuff so it could be bad or irrelevant information, but it was mentioned in this thread earlier that the DCPI was removed from the system.

Got the same email today.

And they finally upgraded the articulation a little. Not sure if there were ball hips in these or not but you know people who already have an army would buy more when articulation improved...especially with ball hips.

If it's in high Demand they follow the Target principle. Entertainment Earth will just keep taking orders and then cancel any orders in excess of what they actually receive.

This has been my experience as well. It's one of the main reasons, along with their high shipping, why I only use them as a last resort, preferring BBTS if I miss Pulse or Amazon.

no, the dpci's were clearanced out to make room for the new tvc dpci. this is why and how people freak out. speculation and rumor gets everyone all worked up for nothing. target never got nor were they going to get rid of tvc. they had a new number assign for them but had to rid the stores of inventory. the chicken little tale, the sky is falling. no where did it say from target or anyoen else that target wasn't going to carry tvc anymore.
