Entertainment earth is charging me for shipping even though I ordered my stuff when they had the buy $39 dollars of stuff and shipping is free. My total was suppose to be $47 but instead of knocking the shipping off they just reduced it to $21. I emailed them it was too late tonight to call them but when I get up I'm going to find out what the hell they are doing

Obviously it's because the Prequels had to make Vader's injuries be the result of burns and breathing in burning air, which should have been able to be healed, and not the OT, where it was either that Vader fell into lava (RotJ, EU) or that Vader simply had mysterious injuries that couldn't heal. Vader shouldn't have needed that suit almost two decades later just to breathe. I still laugh how Reva and the Grand Inquisitor can shrug off being impaled through the chest regularly, but Second Sister and Qui-Gon couldn't. As bad as Maul surviving cut in half but somehow Dark Side Master Snoke can't. |

Except for Vader for some reason. Never made sense how Bacta can heal all kinds of shit but can't heal his lungs or skin.

Maybe there are limits to what can heal and the severity of the wound? Grand Inquisitor had two stomachs so maybe that had something to do with it. Some Salamanders and grow back legs and the Axolotl can grow back parts of the brain as long as the severity is not that bad. Is bacta like a super healer or is there limits to what it can do? How could it heal lungs without actually being inhaled?

Speaking of bad writing, those EU/Timothy Zahn books are laughably bad writing, but nerds love 'em so it's all good.

lol The problem is, it was always a buncha lazy writing "from a certain point of view". You read mythology and you see just how "lazy" Lucas was (if you want to call it lazy). I mean, he just borrowed. And dialog was never his strong suit. I cut all this a lot of slack because it was never the greatest writing, it obviously was a work in progress with a lot subsequent retconning, and because it just doesn't matter for pop entertainment. So long as they make entertaining popcorn flicks that delight and surprise, I'm good.

I don't mess with Star Wars books these days. I was never super-interested anyway, but I've tried here and there and was never impressed enough to finish them.
