Well, apparently Retro has good margins since they cost little to make. I'm surprised they'd be the first to be whacked if that's the case.

It might just be on hold. Apparently, there?s some hope for positive developments over the weekend regarding negotiations

According to Galactic Hunter, Target already has the labels on the shelves for it. maybe they're gonna change the labels and then put it out for a higher price!

Then don't cancel the pre-orders. Do what EE did - give people the option to keep their orders for the new price instead of just canceling outright.

Because they don't constantly put labels on empty pegs for months at a time, waiting for a product that's only going to arrive after the reset?

^^ this. Labels on Target shelves mean basically nothing.
I too got the cancellation notice for the ANH Retro set, which I was really looking forward too. Hopefully we will get another shot at it in the future.

Saw Jayson over on Yakface say the Retro set hasn't even arrived in the U.S. yet.
