i actually prefer that look of thrawn than the actor.

i honestly am not a fan of thrawn. i dont understand the draw. like, i never had any interest in reading the star wars books, so i only went by the hype he had from them. but having seen him in action on rebels, he's a chump. he's so bad that at times i thought he was a rebel sympathizer.

and the actor, mikkelson? i dont know. he has a weird shaped head and face and i also dont think he should be thrawn. leave him playing his voice in animation. is it mikkelson? i dontcare im not that far yet. i literally watched the bad guys jump into hyperspace last night.

but anyway, that figure in that link? that looks like the thrawn that lives up to all this mythical hype he has. i wont be getting the live action version unless im fucking floored by how cool he is. which is highly doubtful because even knowing wes chatham is in this show now, and it's season 4 or 5 of rebels isnt enough to keep me watching with regularity and excitement.

On the one hand, I kind of wish I'd sold my comic pack Thrawn for oodles of money back when people were jonesing for him. On the other hand, I like the look of that one a bit better anyway (even if it's not "screen accurate") so I'll pass on the new one. Plus, you just have to love his little Ysalamir stole.

I still love the original 5POA Expanded Universe one. Hell, IMHO that Mara Jade is still the best 3.75 Mara.

not much of an improvement. to me thrawn looks like the guy that does the voice of iron man on the avengers cartoon, and the dude that could fly but didnt want anyone to know on heroes. he's like a space italian.
