I hadn't been the biggest fan of the newest Star Wars movies / tv since Disney takeover - but giving another chance - and the high points of Obi Wan, Mandalorian, and Ahsoka have me pretty jacked up for Star Wars again. For the first time in many many years. Amazing what good content can do for interest as I add more figures to my preorder. I really want an Anakin.

Well, it's going to be a deluxe package, so maybe they'll actually tool the whole thing (like they should), but I don't want to be too optimistic.

im pretty sure i have this version of jango fett without the cloak and the headgear (but i have his helmet and everything else) https://galacticfigures.com/figureDetails.aspx?id=669

i dont know where he is right now, and i remember him costing a lot. i liked the left vambrace claw thing. im pretty sure he was one of the ones i paid over 30 bucks for and hated having to do that.

Yeah, the legacy version didn't have the poncho- I think that was the Vintage version, but the figure was otherwise the same as far as I know. Hope the new version has some similar features-removable accessories for his vambraces (just learned that word today) would be cool, too, but I'm probably giving Hasbro too much credit-that they actually want to add value to their "deluxe" offerings.

i'll have to see if i can dig up the old receipt for him and see what it says.

vambraces is an armor thing and i only know of it because every couple of months i've been looking into making my own mandalorian armor set. i have a clan wren/proto fett helmet printed, but im not happy with it because i think it might be small. it's the only model of this helmet on the internet and the dope that designed it designed it out of scale and hasnt bothered to follow through with any information on what size it's supposed to be.

this is the legacy version:
https://galacticfigures.com/figureDe...x?id=622&img=3

mine has the claw on the left arm.

and holy shit, i didnt pay 40 bucks like i thought i did. i got it in 2018.
now that i looked it up, i remember having an issue with this particular seller because i'd be getting like 50 bucks worth of figures, and then paying way too much to ship it. i flat out emailed the seller and said "dude, i've spent a lot of money on your auctions lately and you're overcharging me on shipping. i went to the post office to check. you're getting a shipping discount on top of all of this. you need to fix this."

so this morning somehow black krksnanathtntatn popped into my head and i forgot i ordered him.

the order was made in april, he's not coming until december. i cant recall the most recent stuff that's coming out after thrawn, pre, and sabine. i'm only getting figures from mandalorian and rebels, or if tehy're something i cant live without. i may dabble in ahsoka characters. may. morgan elsbeth is nothing to me, unless i can get michael beihn. the span between preordering and getting the figure is nuts. i am waiting 8 months for the woookie, but sabine is already being shipped and her preorder opened last month. this isnt helping me figure out what i have.

im going to toss grand inquisitor on the list of stuff to get and swap out his fat head with a head i have floating around. i forgot where i put it. i buried myself into this space rangers project and my organization of my custom stuff is terrible.

scrolling through yakface, it looks like i think im good for a while. which is great, because i really want an arcade cabinet.

it'll never happen. we still do not have a cobb vanth tvc figure. your best bet is finding some 3d model of one floating around or upscaling a 3d miniature and modifying the head for an action figure (if you can find one)

Yeah, I never had that problem. If I wanted to play with my STARCOM and G.I. Joes together (or TMNT or Power Rangers or whatever) I'd pretend that the former were smol aliens or something. Or not. As a child, the disparity in size between certain toys never really seemed like some kind of impassible roadblock on the path to fun to me. It was all make believe anyway.

Which is kind of the problem. We currently have something of a mania amongst many collectors for everything to be reproduced in 1/12th-scale, even (sometimes especially) classic brands that were specifically developed in the first place to interact with vehicles and playsets.

It's why I just have to shake my head at the idea of something like 6" MASK figures. It's like a contradiction in terms. They would only exist to satisfy an autistic obsession with gathering the entire Saturday morning cartoon lineup of the 80s into an unnaturally-regimented and uniform plastic army gathering dust on the shelf. No playsets to inhabit, no vehicles to command, just standing there dully in their perfectly-scaled, serried and crossed-over ranks, doing nothing.

See my point about 6" MASK figures above.

Again, see above.

In effect, every company that produces action figures in 1/12th-scale is doing this. That's the underlying subtext of all these "this looks really cool, too bad it's not 6" scale" comments that always pop up whenever someone previews new action figures in some other size format (like ZICA's Sectaurs, or 4H's Power Lords, or Mythic Legions). There's this driving obsession with uniformity of scale, that everything absolutely must be in the same size format regardless of whether that suits the play-pattern that the toys were originally designed around or whether characters from different brands ever actually interacted with each other in their respective fiction in the first place.

I cannot believe they haven't done Cobb Vanth in TVC yet. I guess the question becomes which version of Vanth would people want? Boba armor or no armor? They gave us the lesser Karga option...

How about a Vanth 2-pack so we get both?

Anyway, hopefully they'll give us something soonish, and not as a "deluxe" figure.
