it's funny because Walmart is clearancing the movie Joe figures online, but not in stores.

I guess there's no rhyme or reason to this shit anymore. They've definitely all gotten tighter on clearancing though. Those movie Joe figures would've been clearanced in stores and online a year ago, at least, in the old days.

My Target clearances a good amount of merchandise including Star Wars action figures...besides Lando. Happy to report that today I've experienced one of the best clearance there. These are figures I've been looking to get for customs for less than retail, and who doesn't right?
I lucked out big time finding Reva and Axe Woves. Not sure why or how but the sweet lady helping me out with pricing applied a further 50% off for Woves so I ended up paying $4.15 for Axe and $6.90 for Reva. Price went down dramatically and I don't think she did that because she liked me...I'm likeable and everything but not that much. They also had one Duke & Ram for $20.99 but I don't do classified...it's all open source for now Last edited by paokole; 02-07-2023 at 10:01 PM.. |

Tuesdays and Thursdays are our days for clearance price changes, so not surprising. Will have to check out what we have when I go back to work Thursday morning.

Do they send you guys at the store product just before it goes clearance? I'm just wondering if they shift clearance product from the website to stores or something. I just don't see clearance pricing on the website like I used to.

Not really. We'll get the occasional random item from the distribution center, but never a full case or anything like that. If there's anything like that, it's usually from a repack box, which is a hodgepodge of one-off items. For example, my area (kitchen) got Christmas mugs in a repack box that went straight to salvage. I've helped in toys and had a Fortnite set that I knew we didn't carry anymore and offered to buy it, but couldn't because it was no longer in the system for purchase.
I will say that we do still receive items that are already clearance, but it's completely random and not part of any regular shipment. You'd be better off checking the companies we sell salvage items off to (Dirt Cheap, Ollie's, Ross, etc.) |

The only time we really had anything like that was when the distribution centers were trying to pump out as much stuff as possible to stores back during the summer. That was because shipments they had ordered prior to the Covid restrictions finally got freed up and flooded the DC's to the point where we had two trucks a day just so the merchandise didn't sit anywhere outside of a brick & mortar store. Even then, they sold a lot of it off to 2nd and 3rd party retailers.

My frustration with this line/ team is almost comical at this point. It has to be on purpose, right? Or their budget is trash.
