What's this? How is *not* pre-ordering even possible in today's market? How does BBTS not know what's coming until it shows up on the truck?

I've heard rumors, the product announcements are not for customers.

It's for Chris Cocks desperate attempt to get investors trying to claw the Hasbro price higher before Q1's epic dumpster fire financial report craters the stock again.

It would explain why the company couldn't give pre-orders, it's being announced
4-8 months ahead of schedule. And yes, knowing what happened to Magic and DND it could be that dumb of a reason.

And No I have no idea if it's 100% true. Another good alternative is the company is just on fire and someone is trying really hard to not get fired like the last batch of employees.

This is why CEOs get paid so much. The good ones are worth it. Chris Cocks is not a good one. Frankly, with his name literally being cocks, the writing was on the wall

They were once worth it, relatively. Things are skewed now though, with even really proficient true "leaders" like Iger being obscenely overpaid. Corporate "leadership" has become like journalism* in a way, with it being a basically cookie-cutter sort of education where they're taught how to be a "type," follow set rules and adhere to a standard rather then actually innovate, problem-solve and excel.

*Journalists are now taught to not offend and not get sued more than anything else.

It is incredible how basic everything has become. I remember when Hasbro rolled out this "box" marketing, which was the same old shit dressed different. Real innovation doesn't seem to exist

I agree. I think we're bankrupt of originality and free thought as a society. You see it everywhere, from all the retreading in entertainment to retro-inspired architecture/interior design and tacked-on superfluous excess masquerading as "style" in auto design.
