that's just how the prop guys made his helmet for a new hope, and since rogue one was before that when they made the helmet for it they added that detail. the more super accurate you want a darth vader, look into the "optional" sections on these pages
https://databank.501st.com/databank/...g:SL_anh_vader https://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:R1Vader more: https://www.501stsithlords.com/sld-crl.html depending on the movie his buttons are also different. just extra details that matters to people that details matter to; but it's good hasbro is paying at least that kind of attention to make some effort to add them. i was looking into making a biker scout lancer status costume, but ran out of interest because of the drama it took to get my armor every time i looked at it i fell into disgust. lancer status for a scout means the highest most screen look one can get. not anything to quit collecting the toyline over. look at it like the boba fett that was released before all the 26 dollar grampa fetts. it's the definitive version of the original series fett's and the best looking one to date.

im not sweating over what color hasbro's painting buttons. i just care about the "best" version i can get. if this darth beats the one i thought was, then im satisfied with that. probably an example where i cared was when this definitive fett came out and was missing a paint application. that would have bugged me if i got that version just because it was a factory error when they made the effort to do the most accurate fett they could; but i dont care what color vader's buttons are just as long as tehy're painted or match a movie he's in.
i'll give hasbro credit when it's due, and this kind of thing is worth giving them credit for. not in the form of another price hike because they should get as close as they can with their toys, but "hey, you noticed. good job." |

he had red eyes at that point. rogue one vader had red eyes.
this is digging into 501st star wars reference crl stuff - but its good hasbro is getting this kind of detail even though it's basically unnoticed and hard to tell. i went ahead and preordered this vader too. i figure i should probably get the best version available. hopefully he's tall. im relieved i dont need anyone else from that case (i already preordered the mando). i THINK i got the rogue one vader from that ollies thing a while back and having had a better look at him online, im not a fan of those plastic robes. so, i'll be chucking him on ebay to rot. This looks to be a great Vader and from what I have been reading, this one is pretty tall. Just when I?ve thought I couldn?t have another Vader, they keep dragging me back in?.. In other news?.another failed Haslab it seems. I hope they learn a lesson and stick to 4inch vehicles. We need a Ghost?or a SD bridge. Or a LAAT with sticker sheets for nose art, two sets of doors for atmo and space, gun pods (and search lights from the CW episode), quality paint job, and flip out rockets from the Crumb Bomber. |

The Reva 1:1 scale lightsaber. That was dead in the water when it was announced. She is such a poorly written character.

Oh. Yeah, no one in their right mind wants to fund a prop instead of a real toy. Between the Disney Park and Shop exclusives, fan channels and regular retail, it's a safe bet they'll produce a cheaper one that'll work just fine down the road anyway.

I think a saber would have been dead in the water, regardless of which character it belonged to. Quote:
Well, the ghost busters pack did extremely well as a haslab, so the RIGHT kind of prop *can* work as a haslab. But with the lightsabers, there are already so many on the market, I don't understand why they're trying to make one a haslab. Odd choice.

How much do you think fans would pony up for a Mando or Fett jetpack? $300?
