Take the Disney stuff to the other thread if you want to talk about it. We only want to talk about the toys in this thread.

Speaking of figures, Sbarty hooked me up with Carbonized Cara. Love that figure.

Is the head on that new Queen Amidala on a ball joint or is it a peg like the Mando/BFS figure?

Nice, and you got it just in time too. The "buy it now" crowd on eBay are wanting $100 for those carded, and loose figures are going for $60. Craziness. The price sky rocketed quick much like Carano's social media following. Shows how little folks can stand up to vile corporate giants.

It's going for $70-$100 on eBay now? That's hilarious. I had one up for sale for a few months ago for about $25 for a while, no one ever wanted it. The day the news broke last week that Hasbro was discontinuing her figures, I grabbed a couple off Walmart.com for $17 each. Guess I should have grabbed more.

I don’t quite see how charging more for an action figure on the secondary market is a little guy sticking it to a corporation.
Hasbro already made the money from the retail location that sold the little guy the figure. The only ones that are getting the short end of the stick are people who didn’t buy the figure before prices skyrocketed. If anything, by getting rid of the character and no longer making the action figure, the corporation helped the little guy by putting more money in the secondary sales persons pocket. I’m not trying to argue, just trying to see the correlation. |

I’m not trying to argue, just trying to see the correlation. I thought the same thing. How the heck is a figure from last year that is suddenly selling for more on the secondary market, "little folks standing up to vile corporate giants"?? Disney/Hasbro already made their money on these. People are just panic buying them now.
