Honestly, I hope this starts happening everywhere... then, and ONLY then will retail stores start to take this kind of thing seriously. This is happening at my ROSS stores like crazy... someone keeps buying up the TRU ROC 5 packs, taking off the tags, sticking them on 25th Scarletts and returning them. They did this with the Cobra Island packs too and returned 25th CPs. It drives me insane. LOL.
Maybe this kind of thing will force retail to start implementing anti-scalping/hoarding measures too. Maybe they can limit you to one of the same item per day, or start checking ID when you return stuff, or require that you have either a girlfriend or a kid with you when you buy toys. LOL. |

They should just grab a big LCD screen from the electronics dept. and have it up for display for all to see. Then when the item doesn't match a loud siren and red lights start flashing. You will only have a few seconds to make it out before the security gate comes crashing down to close you in.

They should just make ALL SALES FINAL for all toys (except Christmas season); this of course would hurt a lot of indecisive people (like me, lol), but to burn the repackers I would let myself be consumed by the flames also. LOL.

I wonder if stores refusing to accept returns on "collectible" merchandise will be the end result of all of this.

I was thinking the worst ROSS store must be the one on board the Starship Enterprise... the guy could just buy a 25th Stinger... keep the receipt... use the replicator to make another one... and just return that one to ROSS. Freaking replica-repacka-returners.

Why buy one in the first place? The replicator can make one without an original. It can also get rid of it when you're done playing.

Well I know it's been around forever when it comes to making a purchase in orderr to get something for cheaper than it really is, but this is the first time I've heard someone use it for returns.

You know you're right. I would be willing to take the hit. The only problem is a lot of this stuff is really not collectible. They're just toys. We make them collectible because we choose to collect it. I guess they could just say GI Joe and Star Wars stuff. I wonder if anyone would be petty enough to repack Hot Wheels?
