I love the toybiz line more than the hasbro line... that's so true what Iron spider mentions about Deadpool and Juggernaut.. I got mines for roughly $60 each.. this was around 1 year ago.. don't know if they gone up in price on Ebay. but there variants are way cooler then the Hasbro variants IMO

I have nothing against the new hasbro versions, there just not the same ones I collected, and I used that excuse to save money lol.
Im pretty happy with my collection, and the three BAFs I got are all I need

I used to collect the Marvel Legends by Toy Biz. They were a great line with awesome detail. I had a lot of fun with them.
Check out the Toy Biz Marvel Legends Face-off Series 1 (especially unmasked Captain America, Hulk, and Daredevil) http://marvellegends.net/MarvelLegends/MLFO1/ and the Toy Biz Marvel Legends Face-off Series 2 (especially Punisher) http://www.tmnttoys.com/reviews/Marv...f2/review.html Then Hasbro took over....two things turned me off: 1. Hasbro's marvel legends looked cheap (they actually looked like toys and not collectibles - the nerve of them to make them resemble toys! LOL) 2. The packaging changed (naturally) thus being a MOC collector, this didn't coordinate with my Toy Biz collection. I no longer collect the ML's, but I would reccommend you collecting the Toy Biz run. I do gotta say that the Hasbro line is getting better with their paint washes, so, soon thet will probably be just as nice as the Toy Biz line. A cool collectors site for ML's is http://marvellegends.net/ Also a forum that I used to frequent is http://thefwoosh.com/ Beware, they are not as friendly as the members here - kind of turned me away for that reason. Lastly, if you liked the Civil War saga in Marvel Comics, I would reccommend you buying the Spider-Man Origins Iron Spider-Man Figure from Hasbro. This was the lonly Hasbro figure I purchased. It was well represented!! http://www.hasbro.com/default.cfm?pa...oduct_id=19003 |

They're rereleasing the Iron Spider-Man figure in the Spider-Man-only line, in a transparent plastic and also non-shiny version. But yeah, that figure is one of my favorites, and I am sure people saw it as my avatar for a long time.
As for the Hulk/Wal-Mart/Target waves, those are all separate. There are two Hulk Legends waves that are non-exclusive to any retailer, and each Target and Wal-Mart has an exclusive wave. I really want to get the Fin Fang Foom set from SDCC though, which is just both waves of Hulk Legends, but its limited to 2008 sets and comes with FFF already completed. The Target set is also one of the strongest line-ups since ML began, IMO. Red Hulk with FISTS, Black Costume Spidey, Adam Warlock, Spiral, Union Jack, Silver Savage and Tiger Stripe/X-Force Wolverine (okay, that one's kinda weak, but I don't have an ML Wolvie yet so) make for a super sweet wave. I am glad my local Target is good for exclusives.

I have got almost all the Toybiz Marvel Legends, I'm just missing a few variants, and I love this line, but I am really getting put off by Hasbros latest plans. I live in the a small town where the closest Wal-Mart is twenty miles away and the closest Target is eighty miles away. Right now I debating wither or not to drop collecting them with so many waves becoming exclusive, I not sure that it will really be worth it. There is also a part of me that just wants to see everything go to the 3.75 joe scale.

I pose that question based on two facts and a rumor. One, I read that the Nemesis wave was pushed back and made into an exclusive. Second, Mattel made their Justice League figures into Target(?) exclusives for collectors. And as for the rumor, there is scuttlebutt on this board and in Toyfare magazine that Hasbro will make an announcement regarding 3.75 scale super-hero figures at SDCC. Now, I don't normally collect Marvle Legends and may pick up a figure here and there of some of the iconic heroes. But, I'm really jazzed about a 3.75 scale series. What do you guys think? Oh, what series of Hasbro Marvel Legends are still sold in the store? Thanks. Gaelinic
