Well, this area has been HORRIBLE about getting POC joe figures, and honestly, I got burned out of having to try to find everything online. Don't get me wrong, I love what I've seen, but Im tired of looking for them and will only purchase "must-haves" when needed.
I don't get to Toys R Us too often, so I made a trip. They had tons of the new POC stuff, and I was about to get a bunch when I saw the new Star Wars AT-AT. So I dropped all of the Joe stuff and bought an AT-AT with an imperial snowtrooper to go with. Now I haven't bought anything Star Wars related since Phantom Menace figures came out. I had a ton of the Powers of the Force line when it first came out, but got burnt out because they kept changing the styles (for the better ultimately, but it made everything else I had obsolete). So I gave Phantom Menace a try, and after seeing the movie, I just didn't have an urge to buy much from that line. Fast Forward several movies later, and I still didn't pick up anything Star Wars save for a Jango Fett and a Vintage carded Bobba Fett. I really dug the Bobba Fett (more ariculation and tons more detail), but it wasn't enough to keep me going. So fast forward a few years again, and I buy the AT AT and snowtrooper figure. I absolutely love the ATAT and cant say enough about it, and I was pleasently surprised how much I liked the Snowtrooper (Im still tired of the 'T' crotch, but the ball shoulders rock!) So here I am, on the internet, purchasing a few of the Star Wars figures to go along with the AT AT (AT AT Commander and hoth related figures). My nephews are loving them (one of the main reasons I still collect), and I think they look amazing. My question is this, is the quality pretty decent now with Star Wars figs? Does that quality go through-out most/all figures? I guess mainly...is it worth getting back into? I noticed that all the good vehicles are pretty dang pricey (been looking at Lukes SnowSpeeder, but $30 is a good chunk), but they seem tons better than anything offered in Power of the Force. I also noticed that having been out of it for this long, I have missed out on some real good stuff (New AT-ST, New Falcon, New Rancor) and that sucks, but it makes me not want to miss out on the new stuff coming through. Your guys thoughts on the new(er) figures and vehicles?

I approve. LOL. Would have been cool if you gasped aloud when you first saw the AT-AT and literally dropped all the POC stuff on the ground and then ran to the AT-AT and hugged it. LOL. AT-AT > POC any day IMO.

SW has been better in quality for a while now, most of legacy was awesome (not all). It's a good time to get back in, The ROTS Grevious is an improved version of last years (Some new tooling) and while the vintage line has many repacks, since you haven't been collecting it is new to you so that is a good thing too.

The new stuff is definitely with it. Very few times have I bought something for my son that he didn't like. You have to watch for the 'best' of each figure though. Like Jango Fett, the one that's carded now (blue card) still has crap articulation. There are like 8 general Knobi's, the latest of which has the best articulation.
Also saw the Slave One battle pack tonight. Awesome... you get slave one, a Jedi star fighter, and 6 figures. My son is really really wanting one lol

Yeah, I have noticed for a while with Star Wars that some of the figures arent quite up to par with the other ones. I got a Vader and a (Needa I think)Officer in ATAT gear. Now I loved the Officer, you could take his ATAT gear off and he looked like a normal officer, but he had the 'slit' elbow joints. Wtf was up with those joints? I loved the figure, but man I couldn't get over how bad those joints were.
Same with Vader, he had those slit joints too. I did get a Hoth Battle Pack that came with a Snowtrooper, Vader, and a Scout with speederbike. I love this Vader. Elbow joints, elbow shoulders, huge cloth cape, and cloth upper and lower torso. Man what an awesome version, the definitive one by far that Ive seen. Grievous was one I was hoping for a new version. I did get his Revenge figure when it first came out, but after seeing the movie, it made me feel that the figure sucked, he didnt have that "Hunch" that grievous had. I havent seen the new one in stores, Im curious for that one now. Ive been doing a lot of looking at the Hoth related figures. The newer Han looks pretty dang good. I saw there is two versions, one with the hood on, one with a hat. How is the Hoth Luke? I saw pics of the new Slave 1 set, but man, $110.00 is a big commitment, and the toon versions of the figures weren't much of a sell for me. If they were more along the realistic lines, I would think harder on it. I really hope they do a Bobba Fett version of that ship, it looks quite good!

Im wanting to do some pics with the AT AT. I want to get a project going with my nephews of building a Hoth diorama (hense wanting more Hoth figures). I scavenged through some of my old Powers of the Force figures and accessories to see if there was anything worthwhile and found the Probot and radar laser canon. Figured those would work okay (the probot was cool, but i wasnt a big fan of the firing cannon eye thingy, but hey, they all had little gimicks back then). The radar cannon seems a lot smaller than I remember it being, but oh well.

Let me know if you need any help with some POF figures. I have quite a few laying around. I would love to see a hoth dio. Especially with your attention to detail. Definitely send some pics when finished. I have not seen a single POC figure in the wild yet which is not really a big deal. I have met a few members here willing to help and there is always e-bay...lol
