1. Does Takara no longer have the molds to make re-issue G1 Constructicons?
I have seen cheap KOs for sale 'round Christmas time and in Easter baskets along with KO Aerialbots and Protectobots. 2. Have any green/purple new "Constructicons" been made that look anything remotely like their G1 counterparts? I know there have been some Constructicon-like characters produced in different TF lines, but they always looked to me like completely different characters just colored like Constructicons as opposed to, say, the Classics Seekers and Autobot cars which structurally are clearly based on their G1 appearances. I hope ^^^that^^^ made at least some sense.

not sure about this. I'm willing to be this is talked about on TFW. As for who here is the best to answer the question I'd say Shin Densetsu would be the best.

As for new Constructicons that resemble the original, no, just toys that are made in similar colors. The Energon Constructicons repainted for Classics don't look like the originals(mold-wise), and the RID Build Team repainted for Universe as Constructicons don't look like them either. IMHO if you want a Devastator, the latter is the best. There is a new 3rd party Devastator being developed, which is quite huge: Images of tfclub's Devastator - Transformers News |

There is another Crossfire set by FansProject in the works, but it's been stated that it's actually not for Energon Devastator. So I wonder what it is. |

Barefoot, you may also want to try KOTOYS.com, it's a third party bootlegger to be sure, but the KO's are of high quality, I have almost all of the ones that have been made and they are pretty decent, the shipping charges are reasonable, and he has giftsets, of Arial Bots, Protectobots, Constructicons, and now the Stunticons. No they are not as good as their originals, two are but I'll tell you more in a pm, but anyway, they are worlds better than that generic crap sold by big lots or rite-aid.
Oh! one thing to mention, when going on the site, click on Gen 1 KO's or else you'll see the main page and be like WTF was Blaster smoking? No the ones on the main page suck. Last edited by Blaster'spunchingbagg; 08-31-2010 at 05:36 PM.. |

Grazie mucho!
I will hold out hopes for an Encore re-issue. Isn't it past time for them to announce another one? Or is Predaking it?

If TakaraTomy has the molds intact for the original Constructicons, I think they could be reissued eventually. The last time those molds were used was in G2. The Combaticons and Aerialbots also returned, with the former returning once again for RID. |

Predaking is it for now. and you may be holding your breadth for quite a while, Takara has specifically said that they will not encore/reissue anything that has a KO version.
