The blue guy is Mark Surge. He is pretty cool, Dunkan Bulk is still my favortie.

You do realize that the scalpers will probably start getting into these now that it is clear how much you like them. Oh well, comes with the territory I suppose.

Well, I now own every one of the villains and heroes released so far. Just don't have the Furno Bike, Drop Ship, and the Bulk vs. Vapour 2-pack (mainly because I don't need a second Bulk with slight differences)
I actually e-mailed LEGO asking them a few questions to do with HERO Factory recently too and got some answers. There are definitely more new heroes and villains planned in the future and there is thought of maybe allowing people to create their own heroes like the LEGO shop allows you to create your own sets online and then get the real thing shipped to your home. The odd thing was their answer to my question on why purple LEGO stuff is so rare. (I asked because a purple hero in Hero Factory would be awesome) Basically they said that purple tends not to fit in most of their toylines and that it's hard to work with. ...Purple? Hard to work with? O_o |

Are there some rare variants with these figures or something?
I saw a guy looking at a bunch of them on a endcap at Walmart and was tearing the boxes open slightly to peek inside and then would put them back. He must have done this with 50 of them and ended up getting just 3 of them?

Only LEGO thing I knew of that had variants was those single packed LEGO figures where it was a different figure in each box kinda thing. |

He did this over and over and would set certain ones aside and the put the others back on the shelf. What's even more weird is he had his kid with him and was talking to him and showing him the inside before keeping them or putting them back. Those Lego minifigures are going to be like the mystery Hot Wheels ... people are going to rip them open to see what's inside and take the ones they want and leave the others in the store.

Selling figures sight unseen sucks for army building! The only other line I knew of that did this was Palisades Army of Darkness line Series 2. When Suncoast video went out of business, I scored a LOT of figure CHEAP!
But back to Hero Factory. I just came back from the TRU where I picked up Thunder tonight! He looks pretty awesome and will stand visciously next to Von Nebula! This brings my Hero Factory count up to 3! Von Nebula, Jim Stringer and Thunder! I think the villainous element is way cooler than the heros IMHO, but isn't that usually the case? ;)

If I was in a good mood I would walk up and stand uncommonly close to him, shoulders rubbing together close, while peaking into each box he opened. As I looked into each box I would ask, "Bill, are you in there? Speak up I can't hear you." I would continue doing odd things until he was too uncomfortable and left. |

LOL
I bought the Hero Factory Drop Ship this last week and is it ever fun. O_o I love how it's designed with the ability to open and close its wingspan along with its legs to carry a hero in a pod (the plastic container the heroes come in) and upon releasing a trigger the pod is dropped. Simple yet somehow amazing given two rubber bands and a trigger are used to do the feature. If I had anything bad to say, it's the pilot using the same color blue as Mark Surge really as I saw a review on YouTube that was confused if the pilot was supposed to be him and stuff. Also, the little white rubber bands... Hopefully they're strong, but I worry for how long they'll hold up here in time. |
