I am in the same boat, MST3Kfan! I picked up a Jimi Stringer & Von Nebula set and now I plan on grabbing the whole line!
The price point is okay for the basic figures. For a cool looking Lego hero, 8 bucks is not bad, considering Lego can get VERY pricey. I was very surprised at how few pieces Jimi Stringer has, but he's a cool figure. My next figure is likely to be Corroder, because I really dig those Scything Talons (Warhammer 40K term) he has!! Von Nebula is uber-awesome looking and a very menacing opponent. He was a lot of fun to put together! I plan on using him in my Joeverse somehow. I used to read the old Valiant comics Magnus: Robot Fighter and it was one omy favorites from the 90's. In it, the earth of the future gets invaded by a robotic race called Malevs (malevolents) and they kill humans and use their ectotheric energy as their main source of power. Von Nebula sorta looks like the Malev Empire robots, so it looks like my Joeverse is about to be invaded!!

I really like how the villains are bigger then the heroes too. i've read people complaining about the heroes, but I like their universal look with their own unique masks, weapons, and chest pieces, along with their colors. One thing outside of better elbow and knee joints I'd like though is maybe some purple in this stuff. Seriously, what is it with LEGO and not having many purple LEGO parts? |

Dunkan Bulk is my favorite of the line. He is kind of like my Man-At-Arms my universe. I guess it's because of the name.

Stormer = Optimus Prime Stringer = Jazz Bulk = Ironhide Furno = Hot Rod Surge = Bumblebee Breez = Arcee Von Nebula = Megatron Rotor = Starscream Meltdown = Shockwave Etc, etc... Seriously though, this toyline has potential and LEGO sees it as it slowly pushes out story, games, and I think I read an animated movie or TV series is coming as well. |

Yeah, I read about a TV show too. I really like these toys, I've saw the Dropship on the website but I don't recall seeing it in stores yet, that might be fun to pick up.

Only thing that kinda disappoints me about the set is that it comes with a Hero Factory character as well, but they don't give it a name, just 'Hero Factory Pilot'. |

I hope they can keep this line going, maybe with some add on set for the heroes, like that old Centurions cartoon or something. Meltdown is my favorite villain by far.

During the LOOOOOONG toy drought before the POC stuff hit, I picked up one of these and a Bionicle as well just to have something new to fiddle around with. I loved both of them and actually plan to grab more. I have also integrated Mega Bloks Dragon Universe in with these.... I love the little Knight-esque soldiers from the Dragon line and have the Hero Factory/Bionicles serving as Support Mech. I want to get some of the bigger Hero Factory figures and see if I can make a cockpit for the knights to sit in....

Sounds like Bionicle has a worthy successor then. I'll definitely look into this line now... Does anyone recall if there was a blue hero?
